During a recent stay at the Grand Mercure Bengaluru, I found the hotel itself to be quite satisfactory. The accommodations were modern, clean, and comfortable, ensuring a restful stay. The housekeeping staff deserve commendation for maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness.
The service throughout the hotel was commendable. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, readily addressing any requests. Room service was prompt and the food was enjoyable. The lunch buffet at the restaurant was a highlight, offering a satisfying variety of dishes.
While the hotel is attached to Gopalan Mall, I found the mall itself to be rather underwhelming. The selection of shops was limited and the overall size was smaller than expected. This wasn't a major issue, but it's worth noting for those who might be expecting a larger shopping experience.
However, a significant error on my final invoice detracted from the overall experience. An extra zero had been mistakenly added to the total, resulting in a grossly inflated amount. While the issue was rectified, it caused unnecessary inconvenience and raised concerns about the hotel's billing procedures.
Despite this unfortunate incident and the somewhat disappointing mall, I would still recommend the Grand Mercure Bengaluru for the quality of the hotel itself. The comfortable accommodations, excellent service, and the enjoyable lunch buffet make it a desirable choice. However, guests are advised to carefully review their invoices.
