"A fascinating property with a history. Fabulous views of the chateau from the bedroom windows and from the courtyard. Right in the centre of Saumur, but had a large heated indoor swimming pool. The extra treat was the pool table and pinball machine. It was easy enough to reverse the cars into the courtyard with practice. It was lovely and convenient for restaurants, the chateau and the bakery. Gilles, our host was at the end of a phone if we needed him. Nicole the housekeeper made us welcome...

"Lovely house in good condition with easy walk to Azay le Rideau. Very similar feedback to other reviews - noticed little things like some broken crockery and freezer door but this was no problem with spares and expected when renting a big house in summer. We were 3 families (4 children) - the kids all slept in the bunk bed room and one couple slept in the slightly separate building but this was fine. There are three bedrooms in main house close to the bunk bed room if kids are...

"Logement jonché au dessus des champs de vigne , avec une vue reposante, appartement propre et sécurisant quand on vient avec des enfants, c’est un plus. Localité proche de nombreuses visites à faire absolument ( abbaye royale de Fontevraud, le cadre noir, le château de saumur, Brézé… La gestionnaire sur place était très réactive et toujours bienveillante. "Had a lovely time staying with Marie. She was super helpful and welcoming with lots of good advice from places to visit to cooking a meal for us one evening and introducing us to some local wines. Great place to explore the Loire and Touraine region. Car a must but easy access to Ambois, Tours, Chinon etc. superb bakery in Savonniere 5 mins away by car."
