Lovely house - great location!
Bembridge is a lovely area. It was lovely spending time in Bembridge - all the neighbours are lovely and everyone so welcoming. The house was very comfortable and homely. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lovely family house - great for beach trips, chilling out in the garden and dog walks
We had a lovey stay at Wilbercote. I would happily recommend to friends and family. Great location to go to the beaches and explore local walks and only 5mins walk to the local shops and Barbosa (highly recommend for a chilled cocktail evening not far from the house). Lovely quiet house to come back to and relax with a private garden and large communal kitchen / seating area downstairs. The property had a lovely relaxed feel.

Inside pictures are correct
Our first thought on arriving at the property was "I wish we bought our secateurs, the front garden was very overgrown". On entering the property, it was very well laid out and well equipped. The downside was the cleanliness. The kitchen sink was filthy - try using spray white vinegar - on that type of sink you cannot use cream cleaner or bleach. We had one of those and cleaned it daily. The shower could do with a good clean - it was black at the base of the shower inside and out. Quite a few cobwebs. The cushions are feather - our dog got one in his mouth and coughed and spluttered for quite a while. It was very lucky that we had our campervan with us, as we had to supply our own toilet rolls, handtowels for both the downstairs toilet, bathroom and kitchen. We also supplied our own microwave safe crockery, tea towels and jugs. Didn't like the look of what was there. The house had a nice large enclosed garden for our little dog - make sure the front gates are closed as it is open from the back garden to the front. Unfortunately the previous occupiers had not cleared up after their dog, so we did this to make it safe for our dog. The house was in a very quiet area with easy access to local shops, Bembridge and St Helens. The worse was the unadopted road - pot holes. Check your suspension - we hated going out and coming back.

Spacious accommodation but needs a deep clean.
The house has plenty of space and is comfortable and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The house is clean superficially (clean in visible areas) but the place needs a good deep clean as things like: skirting boards, behind the beds/furniture and outside windows are in need of a thorough clean. The outside windows were filthy and don’t look as if they e been cleaned all year, it does not cost a lot to hire a window cleaner every month. We also had to wash cups, glasses and mugs before we used them as they were not as clean as we would expect with some mugs having old tea/coffee ring stains which show they’ve not been washed up properly. The house has a problem with a vast amount of spiders and as a result cobwebs are a big problem especially in the conservatory and on/around the windows/lamps/books/ornaments. It’s also a shame about the neglect of the garden especially at the front as the property has little ‘curb appeal’. Some investment is needed to bring this property up to standard.

We had a very restful week at the house. The beds were Very comfortable .The conservatory was light and airy. The garden was a good size for sitting out. And the kitchen had all you could need and more . We enjoyed playing the board games provided by the owners and watched some of the DVDs.The location was good very close to the local shops and restaurants. We would definitely recommend this house if you are looking for a comfortable quite stay .

Another fantastic stay
Been here before and returned as was so perfect for a family holiday. Spacious and well equipped. Perfect location for bembridge and rest of the island. Would have liked key to brand new summerhouse that's just been added to property. Looked fantastic but no key for guests to use available

Bank Holiday Break
Very good value for money stay in a lovely home with lots of space. The house is a little dated in areas but the comfort and space make up for that. It was a little dusty in places but the main areas kitchen bathroom were clean. Downstairs toilet as well. Lots of parking good as we have a large van as well as a car. The team booking us in were great. Lots of email updates prior to travel with directions and times etc. Isle of Wight is beautiful with lots to do. We will be back

Wilbercote review
Large, dated comfortable house. Lovely large bath towels, comfy bed. In need of a spring clean and garden tidy. The garden is full of rotting fruit which attracted the wasps, we were unable to let the dogs loose in the garden for fear of over eating the fruit. Good location for exploring IOW.

Delightful, well equipped and comfortable home. Ideal to live in after busy days out.
Wilbercote is quite possibly the best equipped holiday rental which we have ever had. We usually do 2 or 3 per year and have done for a very long time. It was a delight, at long last, to find, scissors, sharp knives and a knife sharpener - the three things which we invariably have to recommend at almost all other rentals. We were a bit puzzled that there seemed a lack of crockery for a family of six as you would need to put the dishwasher on daily and there seemed to be only 2 large wineglasses. The coffee mugs were also quite stained and either need a mega clean or replacing. Some kitchen implements are definitely showing signs of age, rust, wear etc and an audit is now required to see what needs replacing - the tongs, some meat tins, the tin opener for example
