"The house is in a beautiful location, surrounded by vineyards and nut trees. The view from the terrace is amazing and we enjoyed the shade it offered during the day and the pretty sunsets in the warm evenings. The pool is perfect - clean and refreshing with parasols and sunbeds for relaxing. It is also as big as it looks in the pictures! There was ample space for 6 adults and the house was equipped with everything we needed for our holiday. A few more dinner plates would be good though! There...

"We had a great stay in August. It was very hot so the air con throughout the property was most welcome. The property is well appointed and had all we needed. The pool was ideal for a cooling splash and lots of play with my daughter while her mum enjoyed the sun bathing. Alba is a very nice town with plenty of places to eat and discover the local produce and provided a great base to explore the area. From tips and advice on where to go and what to do, to keeping cupboards stocked with essentials, including toys for children! "Our group of 6 adults stayed at the villa for 5 days while exploring the surrounding wine region and relaxing after a wedding. The villa was amazing. There was plenty of space for all guests, comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen and perfectly manicured lawn and pool area. "This is a very cool house but the photos and the reality are not one and the same. I was shocked at how rustic the kitchen was. The only pic of the kitchen is the fabulous gas range, but there is a reason they don't show you the rest. It is tiny, with not much storage or countertop space. the marble sink is old and very small. It was a struggle cooking in there. There are 2 tiny, college size refrigerators that were challenging to fit all of our food and wine in. The bathrooms are rustic and the...

"It was a pleasure to stay in Villa Barbara. Everything was clean and place was quiet and looked like brand new. Special kudos to all of the complimentary food - cake, eggs, milk, wine, water, bread, cheese, salami, hazel nuts - everything we needed for the breakfast for couple of days. Enjoyed the mosquito free dining area in the garden with BBQ grill. "
