The space
Welcome to Red Bend! A one of a kind cabin with spectacular views of the Clear Fork river, unique architecture and a quaint ambiance. This gem sits high atop the sandstone cliffs of the river and along a beautiful hill canopied with Hemlock pines. The stunning views out every window looking down on the river makes this treehouse-like home very special.
Guest access
Guests have the entire cabin to themselves and can be enjoyed with family, a small group of friends or on a romantic getaway for two.
Other things to note
The steps to the cabin, inside the cabin and to the river are steep. If you traverse down the steps to the river please be very careful. The cabin itself sits on the side of a steep hill overlooking the river. Please be cautious especially if you have toddlers.

Snow Trails Ski Resort and tubing park are just 10 minutes away. Mid-Ohio Racetrack and Pleasant Hill Lake are a short 15-20 minute drive. Mohican State Park and the canoe liveries in Loudonville are 15 minutes down St Rt 97. Additionally, Cardinal Shooting Center on I71 is 30 minutes south and it’s a short 25 minutes to the Mansfield Reformatory where Shawshank and many other movies and videos were filmed.

This was such a pretty cabin and beautiful surroundings! It’s nice and private and there’s so much room inside, even with all the rain we really enjoyed a few relaxing days 😊 check in and check out was simple, it was very clean, we loved all the windows and scenery!

Very relaxing property. We enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the river and watching the birds. Minimal traffic on the road. The beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, and the hot tub was relaxing. Definitely recommend staying here.

The cabin and scenery were just what we were looking for…but we should have been given a heads up on the indoor stairs. Very small and very steep. We’re in our 70s so it was quite scary. Couldn’t get down to the river but the view from the fire pit was great.

Eclectic, cozy space near Mohican
The property is amazing for a short getaway, being a 15 or so minute drive from Mohican State Park and right on the river, including a fire pit and hot tub. The home is decorated beautifully with fun antiques, and has everything you need and more. The host communicated well, and we've already recommended the space to friends!

Super little cabin
We were four friends from elsewhere in Ohio coming together for a couple of days of fun and hiking. We loved the cabin and its quirkiness. We hiked and enjoyed an afternoon drink and appetizers in the deck overlooking the river. The kitchen was well stocked and we had our evening meal with music from the record player playing in the background. We ended the evening in the hot tub on the deck.The cabin was comfortable and clean and located close to many hiking trails.The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful as we tried to extend our booking. All in all it was a great experience and we may well return.

Got a steal with this amazing cabin in the woods for the Inkcarcination festival weekend. The hot tub after being on your feet all day in the heat was EXACTLY what we needed. The showers were both spacious and water temp/flow felt wonderful. Also sleeping in a comfortable bed and having coffee on the porch overlooking the creek really made this trip/weekend one for the books! The best part.....the pictures do not do this place justice. True hidden gem in Ohio!

Zen getaway
Our family (kids are young adults) absolutely loved this location and cabin. The inside pics do not do it justice, the vibe is very positive and we did not object to our rainy-days stay, it gave us an excuse to enjoy being in the cabin! We collected rocks and painted them, worked a puzzle on the dining table, and the adventurous path to the river was a big bonus for us all. The nearby B&O bike path was an excellent recommend by the host, and we enjoyed a 6 mile walk without the complication of mud. We will return to this great find, and thank you for creating a reasonably-priced Zen getaway. Even for our brief 2 night stay, it was a true reset.

Weekend get away
Pretty cool property . House was nice . Furniture was different in appearance but very comfortable. Hot tub was perfect . Bathrooms seem newly remodeled . Hiking trails not far by vehicle. Only downfall is the access to the water is not user friendly. It’s not stairs it’s a rope and it’s steep. But overall it was a great place to hang out and have a nice fire or sit on one of the decks and enjoy the view!

Awesome Get-away
We had a wonderful stay at Red Bend Cabin. The cabin was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. We especially enjoyed the view and the hot tub. Everything we could possibly need (and even some things we were surprised to find) was provided. Very well-supplied kitchen. The Alexa Speaker was a nice surprise (although we brought our own). We plan to return next year. Thank you!

Perfect Proposal Getaway
Beautiful location, beautiful cabin, awesome funky decor that all made for a perfect romantic getaway. Surprised my girlfriend with this trip and proposed! It was truly a trip we'll never forget. Heads up, the "path" to the creek is extremely steep and not for anyone with physical impairments or seniors. You literally have to repel down about 20ft with a rope. It was a little inconvenient for us but were young andlike to explore the woods so it worked fine for us and our hyper pup! Brick path to the fire pit was a little sketchy at night as well but otherwise everything was perfect!!
