This brand new contemporary Craftsman home on the Park is owner-built with exceptional attention to detail. Majestic Whatcom Falls Park borders the property, with its pristine 244 acres of trails, waterfalls, swimming holes, and wildlife literally right out the back door. This home was built to be enjoyed with comfortable contemporary furnishings, tasteful art, warm fireplaces, and cozy gathering places. In all seasons you'll be treated to an abundance of light from numerous skylights, large windows, French doors, and a beautiful sunroom.

The open floor plan on the main floor is great for family and corporate gatherings. The master suite with it's gas fireplace, private deck over looking the park, vaulted ceilings, Bose surround sound system, and jetted bath tub for two, is perfect for the romantic getaway. Completed in 2008, you'll find its details stylish and contemporary, as well as timeless in quality--solid granite counter tops, stainless appliances, cast iron claw foot bath tub, marble steam room, real flagstone and VG Fir fireplace. This house is beautiful enough to look like a work of art, yet comfortable enough to feel like a home.

Master 1: 1 king bed, private bath w/jetted tub and walk-in shower, huge walk-in closet.
Master 2: 1 king bed AND 1 futon , attached bath with huge marble steam room & body sprays (six shower heads!), walk-in closet.
Bedroom 3: 1 King bed, shared bathroom with bedroom # 4, claw-foot tub, separate walk-in shower, walk-in closet.
Bedroom 4: 1 queen bed, closet, shared bathroom with bedroom # 3.

Additional sleeping areas:

Sunroom: 1 fold-out sofa bed.
Air mattresses: We offer two queen size quality air mattresses that can fit in the living room or bedrooms.

Streaming options and cable on the two 4k tvs.

Social gatherings with friends and loved ones are very welcomed here, just not out of control loud drunken parties.

Amazing location!
Our family of 9 people stayed here to celebrate our WWU graduation. It was a perfect place with plenty of room for all of us. We loved access to the walking trails and its central location to everything!

We loved this house- plenty of room for all of our group with privacy. We enjoyed hanging out together in the sun room and watching the deer in the beautiful back garden. Lovely and well-equipped kitchen let us host extended family for a meal- definitely a great property!

Great place to stay in Bellingham
We stayed 10 days and really enjoyed the place and had a wonderful time. The place is located just around the block from a beautiful park. The place is large and comfortably accommodated our group of 6. It is tastefully decorated, well equipped and comfortable. The host was responsive and helpful.

Property was a nice place to stay not too far from downtown Bellingham with great access to the nearby park with a beautiful waterfall walk. The kids loved playing the piano and listening to music. Would stay again!

Perfect "home away from home".
This was our home base while in town for our daughter's wedding and it worked perfectly. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, there was plenty of bathroom space for everyone to get ready for the big event. Quiet setting next to the park.

Bellingham Beauty!
We have stayed at this property three times in 7 years and we all have fond memories of the sunroom, backyard, access to walking trails, peaceful setting, and even the steam shower! Erik is a great host. Plenty of towels for our group and a well supplied kitchen make this a home away from home.

We thoroughly enjoyed this home for a daughter's wedding in Bellingham. It was the perfect size for my wife and I and a family of 6 with us. The beds were reasonably comfortable, and the supply cabinets were generous. The access to the park was perfect for a relaxing walk to Whatcom Falls. Thanks to the management!

Plenty of room for our group of 5 friends. We loved the hot tub, and walking out the back door to hiking trails. Kitchen has everything we needed and the weather was spectacular! (Not sure that is guaranteed for future renters (-:) It was the perfect home base for us to explore the San Juan islands, Vancouver, BC and Mt. Baker.

Great spacious house for groups!
Big enough for our yearly guys' weekend activities of eating, drinking, and playing board games. Got to watch some deer munching on plants in the backyard. Close enough to the park for a nice long walk, and secluded enough that there wasn't any real outside noise to speak of. Short drive to downtown Bellingham and all the great things there as well.

Fabulous House Next to Hiking Trails
This large, lovely home was the base for family in town for a wedding at Lairmont Manner. Accommodated our group of 9 perfectly. We all loved exploring the trails out to Whatcom falls, hanging out in the sunroom, and gathering at the dining table for large breakfasts cooked in the excellent kitchen. Thanks!

Perfect Location!
The house was perfect for our family visit for my son’s wedding! We had the grandparents with us and the access to Whatcom Falls big even trails allowed them to enjoy daily walks in the lovely park despite their limited mobility. House was well stocked with plenty of bath products, towels, and paper products plus a well stocked kitchen. Thanks for making the check in/out process so easy!

On a yoga retreat
We are a group of yogis who came to Bellingham for a yoga retreat. The house was perfect! There is a fabulous sunroom where we could sit and talk. Spacious accommodations and everything in good working order. Another great feature was the beautiful backyard with quick access to the spectacular park and grounds behind the home. We hope to come back next year and would love to rent this home again!

We enjoyed our stay and the house fit our needs well. Great location near nature and a close drive to downtown. It’s worth noting that you don’t have garage access which we had not realized in advance. There’s also an additional attached unit with someone present which we didn’t know. It wasn’t a problem, just felt it should have been in listing. Overall, a good stay.

Whatcom Falls Retreat Experience
The layout of the house was perfect. There were six of us ladies so we appreciated the three full bathrooms. The backyard is private and welcomes deer and black squirrels. Erik was a great host and always quick to respond with any questions. The only concerns are the upstairs bedroom wasn't swept or vacuumed as there was hair and other dirt on the floor. Additionally, the interior of the home is in need of some fresh paint in certain areas and some tile repair. Overall, the house was a good rental for us though.

Great Stay!
This house has everything you need. Was just there with friends from all over the country and all of us were impressed. Complete kitchen - and table seating for 8 inside or outside on the back deck area. Good outdoor grill. Roomy hot tub; lovely private back yard. A doe and her 2 fawns hung out for awhile one day. Four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. One bathroom has a steam shower! There were 8 of us and the size of the house was appreciated. We were able to park 6 cars off-street, with room for another one. Highly recommend this house. Erik is great too - either answered my calls or called back quickly.

The best house near the best state park!
This is the best property for a family vacation in the Bellingham area. The beds were very relaxing and pretty, plenty of room to gather in the living room, a reading "nook" that goes the length of the wall of the living room, which we utilized, two very large TVs, and an upstairs master suite to die for. Kitchen was amazingly well-stocked for a vacation home, complete with every spice imaginable. Plenty of pots and pans and dishes, along with a spotless refrigerator. The backyard and back patio area is lovely, like an English garden, and our family ate dinner out there almost every single night. The hot tub was utilized when temperatures cooled down a bit as well. The house is a very short walk to the falls, where you can sit by the waterfall and swimming hole and watch people get up their nerve to jump into the ice cold water below and maybe talk yourself into it! A mother deer and her baby visited us every night as well in the back yard (we did not feed them). A very short drive from all to see in Bellingham, and the host provides a book with detailed notes on local points of interest, yummy places to eat (we tried three from that list and they were all 5-stars!) and fun things to do. We were there in the summer time when things were lovely and given the house has two fireplaces, it's probably very cozy during winter as well. If we return to the area for another vacation, we will be renting this house! One note about Erik, the host: we realized that the washing machine was giving us an error message on Day 5 of our stay, so after trying to solve the problem ourselves we contacted him. He came over within 20 minutes of our message and when he realized he was unable to fix the machine, he went and bought a new one that day! Talk about a great host! The owners are also very environmentally conscious and encourage guests not to use single-use plastics and they recycle. So they have three different water filters for drinking. There is no reason at all to buy single-use plastics and more people should adopt that lifestyle. I cannot say enough amazing things about this neighborhood, this location, and this wonderful house. You will be thrilled to stay there.
