"A quiet off street, walking distance to food and bus. Small, clean and private. Everyone I ran into, both staff and guests, were kind and inviting. There was a very nice inner courtyard that was a secret gem of a spot to be for a few moments. Would definitely stay again! Thanks Egans Guest House! "

"Tia was lovely and made us feel right at home. Our room was cosy and comfortable and I enjoyed the ambiance of the living room to catch up on emails and take in the peace and quiet. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you!"

"The Homestay Room was clean and modern. It is close to a petrol station convience store. A pub and take away is in walking distance. Ciara checked me in and was accomodating. I had difficulty using the house key and shower controls due to my infamiliarity. All said I enjoyed my stay in Ballyboughal. "

"No-frills service: manager never showed up: accessible only via key-pad (intercom), we requested early breakfast (we're told breakfast area would be unlocked in the morning, which was... but we couldn't find the lights switch: not fun with two little kids, one of whom is afraid of darkness)."

Great Spa/Food break

"Lovely stay at the Knightsbrook. The Spa was extremely accommodating, I'm near the end of my 3rd trimester and was able to switch out one of the treatments to suit better, Laura is brilliant, she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I was pleasantly surprised in the Rococo restaurant. As a vegan I did not have high hopes that there'd be options for me but I managed to get dessert and all! Staff in all areas of the hotel are very attentive and pleasant. "
