I will say it is helpful to have someone who speaks French, my husband is fluent which helped tremendously since Vincente does not speak a word of English. "We spent a splendid 10 day family holiday and enjoyed it a lot. Minor points to mention is that the dirt road is very steep and a bit challenging and there’s no mobile reception in the house (also no WiFi). "

"La Vicasse is a small traditional farm complex owned by the family for several generations, situated deep in a valley beside the river Viaur. The gite is comfortably restored and surrounded by its own land with wonderful views of the hills and valley. Our hosts, Annie and Michel, were very welcoming and helpful and were happy to show us around the property and share produce from their vegetable garden. "Superbe semaine (c'est la 2ème année que nous venons). Maison bien équipée avec la piscine au milieu des collines. Deux terrasses pour profiter selon l'exposition. Super jacuzzi. Nous étions 11 adultes et étions confortablement installés (5 chambres doubles + 1 personne dans les lits superposés qui sont par contre dans un "couloir". Très belles balades à pieds au départ de la maison."

I loved the kitchen so much that we decided to have evening meals at the home. The "marshe" at La Fouillade just a few miles away had farm to table galour! The History in this area is unbelievable.
