Hillside house with stunning sea views from all rooms, just outside the magical town of Begur in the Costa Brava. The spacious family home is available to rent year round. Situated in a quiet, secluded neighbourhood with scattered luxury villas on a forested hill. No high-rise hotels nearby. Begur, a beautifully preserved mediaeval town, is 90 minutes north of Barcelona, and 45 minutes from Gerona, in the unspoilt portion of the Spanish coast. The three-story house sleeps six comfortably, and has two balconies and four sunny patios. The garden area includes a private pool and a jacuzzi (particularly welcome during off season lets). Sea views from the balconies are superb. Five secluded beaches are accessible by car, with the closest five minutes away. Five excellent golf courses nearby, playable all year round. Begur, with its charming hilltop castle, is within walking distance and has fantastic restaurants and boutiques along its narrow, ancient streets.

Jerry’s family vacation home was exactly like it was advertised, but much more breathtaking in person. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views that overlooked the Mediterranean Sea, rolling hills with spectacular perched homes, hikes and restaurants within walking distance. The poll and hot tub were a treat at the end of the day. Liz the rental manager was prompt and accommodating with all our questions.Thank you for a lovely three day visit.

It’s all about the view!
House was lovely….multiple stories with a sea view from everywhere. Enjoyed the patios, jacuzzi and pool. Quiet area during the week, but neighborhood got much busier on the weekend. Only negative is the drive up/down the mountain. Thought it was a little treacherous on some of the curves and switchbacks if another vehicle was approaching in opposite direction. Manager and owner were very quick to respond to our questions. But those views…..

wonderful views but be prepared
The location of the property is in an isolated community with a complex access route. The views were tremendous because the property is built on the side of a steep hill. There are a lot of steps e.g from the pool to the kitchen there are 51 steps and to the car on the road 68 steps! When we arrived the property had been stripped of everything - after a long drive we arrived and there was no toilet paper in the property!

The villa was not as we expected. The views are superb and there are different areas to relax in. But it is overlooked from all angles ,the villa directly next to the swimming pool played blaring music and we felt we had no privacy and we looked directly into the villa on the rights outside dinning area. There is a smell of damp in all rooms. Not for us.

Beautiful location but villa needs work
The view from the villa is stunning, it is very spacious, the size of a family home. The pool and pool area were also lovely, a fairly new addition which was much used by our children. The villa itself however would definitely benefit from some investment. The old boiler stopped working on day 2 although this was resolved by the agents quickly by bypassing the switch. There was a constant smell of damp, especially in the kitchen, there were instructions to keep dehumidifiers on constantly in the bathrooms. We had to abandon using the main bathroom shower because it completely flooded the floor. There is a built in shower platform made of concrete or similar and the angle is off so the water floods out of the shower all over the floor. The only way to resolve this is to replace it which is why we didn’t report it. There was another shower over a bath that we all used instead. The villa isn’t easily walkable to bars/restaurants/beaches but there are plenty of all of these things within a very short drive. Begur is a lovely, buzzing, characterful town and really comes alive at night, a great atmosphere. There are so many beaches it’s a case of trying and finding the one you like best. We had a fabulous two weeks.

High on a hill in the Garden of Eden
This is a wonderful, serene, clean, quiet, and spacious house, framed by a superb location. As an, admittedly, spoiled American,who is not used to feeling "off the grid", my only suggestions are: - TV and available wireless within - Eliminate parking in the street, by creating a concrete/stone ramp accessing the house parking spot, like the neighbors all have, without having to have a jeep. The owner and his partner, are very sensitive to a traveler's needs, and doing all the correct things to ensure a wonderful, eventful vacation. My wife and I, are, truly, grateful.

We had a great stay here in mid-October. The house is spacious and has perfect views. The hot tub was great for cool nights, and we did jump in the pool is a great size. All of the outdoor spaces are really nice with a good sense of privacy and lovely landscaping. The kitchen works really well and the bathrooms are nice as well. The owners were very quick to respond when we had some malfunctioning outdoor lights and they were always happy to answer any questions. It's a perfect place from which to explore many areas along the costa brava and inland. The suggestion list they supply is spot on. Would fully recommend a stay here in any season. The only minor negative was that there was no soap or trash bags in the house so we had to buy those. The listing and photos are very accurate. The owners are great, the house was very clean and comfy.

Phenomenal !
We had the most amazing of times at Buenavista Villa in Begur ! We'll never be able to thank Jerry enough for letting us stay at his place this past 4 days. Begur is a beautiful and wonderful place. We vividly recommend you to visit it. You will find amazing beaches and "calas" to relax and enjoy. Don't trust the weather forecast, we were supposed to meet wind and rain during the whole week end but Begur welcomed us with big sun and enjoyable heat. The house was exactly as described and pictured in the website, and even better. The views are just breathtaking, the neighborhood is quiet, relaxing and the house has everything you can imagine in terms of furnitures. Jerry really cares about his guests. He is a really helpful and will answer every questions you have and guide you through you arrival, stay and departure. The only word to describe this entire experience is: perfect. Encore merci mille fois et peut-être à une prochaine fois ! On espère fortement que le vin vous plaira !

Séjour magique
Découverte de Begur et ses alentours, magnifique surprise. La maison est située un peu en hauteur, ce qui permet une vue juste splendide. La maison est très agréable, avec la piscine et le jacuzzi. Enfin, le propriétaire est adorable et très arrangeant. Un séjour qu'on retiendra (nous reviendrons!) Attention cependant aux enfants en bas âge, beaucoup d'escaliers dedans et dehors (surveillance continue nécessaire !)

Perfect stay, amazing view!
We very much enjoyed our 4 days in this wonderful villa. It has everything you need and the view from the balconies is amazing. The communication with the owner and Liz (from the rental agency) was very easy and fast. The only issue we had was dealt with in an accurate way. Don't hesitate to book this if you want to have a perfect stay in the beautiful area of Begur!
