What an interesting house, shaped like a mushroom. There's a small collection of a dozen or so of houses like this, with a central core and the rooms clustered around a central spiral staircase. You enter upstairs from a deck, and the house is round with tree-level windows in every room. Really unique!
The house is nicely equipped and the bed was by far the most comfortable I can remember in any of the VRBOs I've stayed in. The only issue I had was that the windows are not designed to open - only the entry door and a sliding glass door in the dining room and a small one near the kitchen. It would have been nice to open the windows to the cool mountain breezes overnight instead of using the HVAC. Not a complaint at all, merely an observation.
Communications with Tonya, the owner, were excellent, and her instructions and responses to questions were clear and prompt.
It's practically across the road from the Omni, and so much more personable and homey than the corporate hotel. The hotel is lovely, and the spa and other recreational activities are great, but this house was much more my cup of tea.
