We love this place, 4th time staying and more to come. There are several options of places to relax with true sounds of nature. As the title says, Peaceful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at this house. The house was very clean and stocked with essentials. It felt very private and the family loved the hot tub!
We would definitely rent this house again.
Such a nice peaceful and relaxing time. Rented the house for a fishing weekend with friends and couldn't have had a better time. Would love to come back and visit again in the future.
We had a wonderful stay. There were kayaks, hot tub, all there to use on the river. The bedrooms were very nice. We enjoyed the environment. The fall leaves were gorgeous.
What a gem!
Really enjoyed this house. Great front deck and nice hot tub around the back. Lots to do in the area. Perfect kitchen table to sit around and play games. Only wish we could've stayed longer than three nights to spend more time on the deck.

Calm Quiet Perfect
Great place for our 17th annual sister's weekend. Everything we needed, convenient to everything local, yet private. Enjoyed by everyone. Response by owner was fast!
We stopped here for a few nights during a 10 day road trip and it was great! The cabin had plenty of comfortable beds and was stocked with essentials plus more. Cindy is a wonderful host and even provided a check in welcome bundle. The river was so relaxing to sit next to in the mornings and the area is quiet. We enjoyed the hot tub and sightseeing the local cavern, old Bedford village plus a few local restaurants. Wi-Fi was fast the AC was cold.

Cabin on the river
Nice location we were a little disappointed that we can only kayak about a half mile each direction from the cabin. Also the cabin could use a good deep down cleaning. The owner was very nice and always available.
This property is in a great location making it easy to get to various sight seeing destinations in Central PA. The house was a good size for the 4 of us and having 3 separate bedrooms was key for our two teenagers. The house was comfortable and Cindy was an awesome host. Thanks again!
We had a great cousin’s weekend at the cottage. Check in seamless, Cindy, the host, attentive, responsive and kind. If you are just looking for some quiet rest and relaxation, this is a great choice. Thank you Cindy for so promptly answering our calls and questions.
We were looking for a comfortable accommodation near a lake or stream for the family to relax for the weekend. This filed the bill. Cindy responded quickly and with determination when we had problems with the WiFi which turned out to be related more to insufficient signal from our T-Mobile service.

Tranquil
The worst thing about this place are the ramshackle buildings you have to pass on the lane to the cottage, but that's not within Cindy's control. Aside from that it was peaceful and serene and the hot tub was great! Cindy responded to our request for an extra night immediately, as well as to all emails.

Calming View, Older home
This home could use a good spring cleaning. Owner was easy to communicate to, but never responded to our issues after we left the property. View of river and mountains were very relaxing, home had all the necessary items you would need for your stay. Neighbors homes/property was run down, but it was quite. Reminded us of my grandfathers old hunting camp area.
The house is in a great location. Nice view of the river from the upstairs room and living room. The house has plenty of sitting areas inside and outside. The beds are comfortable. Our little ones enjoy watching Netflix in the room, while the teens watch cable on the living room. This house has an amazing outside. It is well kept and plenty to do. The access to the river is convenient. We loved the different size and styles kayaks. The hot top had a little too much bleach. Our skin and swimming suits were destroyed. The house just need better lighting and a good cleaning.

“Right -On” Time….on the river!
Very private outdoor setting right on the river. Nice landscaping with a large deck. Lots of boats for a paddle on the river. There’s ample kitchen storage The host was was very responsive with our questions. There is a third bedroom near kitchen that does not have a door and the largest bedroom upstairs does not have adequate air conditioning in very hot weather. Kitchen was okay but not as stocked as other reviews stated. Unfortunately hot tub over-chlorinated. A few GREAT ice cream places close by, Shawnee State Park a short drive with a wonderful beach for swimming, picnics and hiking. DelGrosso’s Amusement and water park too! You’ll have a fun stay at Cindy’s place on the river!

Perfect size cottage for a weekend with a few friends
Cindy’s place was perfect! The cozy three-bedroom cottage had everything we needed for the weekend, and we never had to leave! The hot tub was relaxing and the kayaks she had available made for a great time on the river. The cottage is a little outdated, but it definitely adds to the charm. We had no cellular service, but had Wi-Fi in the house if we needed it. Nobody touched their phones all weekend. The firewood is stored in an uncovered area, so the logs were too wet for us to start a fire. I recommend, if it has been raining before your trip, bring your own firewood.Cindy was even gracious enough to stop by before we checked in and drop off some paper towels. Cindy was very responsive, and super helpful! I definitely recommend her place for our weekend getaway, and if I ever visit Bedford again, I will definitely stay here! Thank you so much for all your help, Cindy!
