Just getting away for a few days, as we own our own business and I work a full time job on top of that. It was a very nice home! Loved the fireplace and the lay out. Comfy get away.
The home was clean and perfectly sized for our 7 person extended family. The kitchen was well supplied for a family that likes to cook. The hosts were communicative and always responded quickly. The neighborhood was quiet and walkable. Great place!!

Nice House
Clean, well stocked, suited our needs. There is no lake. After a rain, the house had a sulfur/sewer odor that would not go away. Most anything is at least 30 minutes away.
We rented the laughing turtle,to celebrate my sister's 40th birthday. The 7 of us slept very comfortably and had plenty of room for relaxing. Midland isn't too far away,so we went to the Midland mall and did some axe throwing. Doug & Kim's house is beautiful and very clean. I can only imagine how much more peaceful the view will be,once the water returns to the lake.
I traveled from Colorado to Michigan to visit my family. Wixom Lake is centrally located and was the perfect spot for my family to gather! :-) The house is in a quiet area and there was plenty of room for those who wished to stay overnight. We visited Amish farms in the area and purchased fresh eggs, produce and baked goods. Gladwin is building a trail system along the Cedar River that was pleasant for all ages. There are family friendly restaurants, Nikki's and the Juicy Bone nearby. The adults had fun visiting the little dive bars in the area, and I can recommend Off the Hook Tavern and the Bentley Bar. I hope to return someday and enjoy the restored lake.
