The Gîte du Pigeonnier is first and foremost a family story. Indeed, Fanny, the owner, inherited this farm from her grandparents. It is the family cradle in which she spent her early years. A farmer, this young woman, full of life and very active, is embarking on the renovation of part of this building to turn it into a gîte, which she is opening in 2023. With a view of the famous dovecote, from where the owners, in the Middle Ages, sent pigeons to transmit their messages (barely slower than social networks...), you will enjoy the open countryside and the many activities and visits close to this magical place. Ideally located, you will be 9km from Muret (Aqualudia, train station, restaurants, shops, seminar room, market and ViaGarona hiking trail) and Saint-Sulpice-sur-Lèze (very beautiful village), 11km from Venerque-Le Vernet (canoe rental), 14km from Auterive (Auterive Adventures treetop adventure park) and 30 minutes by car from one of the most beautiful detours in France: Rieux-Volvestre. You will also be at the gateway to the Ariège department: the artist village of Carla-Bayle is 31km away, the Mas d'Azil cave is 43km away and Foix is 60km away. Gîte on 2 levels: - Ground floor: veranda (fitness equipment), dining room/living room, kitchen, games room, bedroom (1 double bed 160*200cm) and shower room/WC. - First floor: mezzanine, 3 bedrooms with 3 double beds 140*190cm each and bathroom/WC. Heating, electricity and hot water by solar energy. Garden in the form of a guinguette in fine weather. You will have at your disposal: pétanque balls, bicycles, badminton rackets and volleyball net
