"Inexpensive Motel in a quiet area. The walkway on 1st and 2nd floor is narrow and a service cart is permanently parked there, so you can't get through with a normal sized suitcase. Strong cooking fumes permeate the breakfast and reception area. Reception area closed after midnight. Sheets rough and rather worn. Manager not very service oriented. "It was our 1st time in Aix-en-Provence, and we didn't know what to expect regarding the city and moving around. We searched for a clean place with a kitchenette and parking facilities, so we could drive to different places. This hotel is not centric to the city, as it would take about 10-15 minutes driving by some backroads to get to the center of Aix and then finding a parking garage nearby. Rooms are kind of small. There is not an elevator, so the luggage has to be lifted through the stairs....

"All staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Excellent and comfortable room which was an upgrade. Fabulous dinner in the restaurant and the sommelier who also ran the bar and restaurant was fun and helpful. Secure on-site parking which was included. Great position 1km off autoroute and 10 minutes walk into town centre. Good value for money at this time of year. "

The hotel was just the right distance from the touristy area to be quiet but still have great access to everything. The hotel is a little older and could use some new furniture, but is quite clean and in what seemed to be a very safe area. Overall I would say it was a fairly good value."
