"My only regret is that we didn't plan a longer stay! This Chateau and the grounds are stunning. The resident manager, Pascale, was delightful, helpful and it was so pleasant to chat with her during our stay. She recommended a lovely restaurant in a nearby town and arranged reservations for us on a busy Friday night. Made to order breakfast, extensive honor bar with drinks and snacks, beautiful suite and common areas and very reasonable pricing; you can't go wrong with Chateau La Remetiere!"

"Quiet area. Easy access to St Lô. Old building. Polystyrene ceiling tiles in bedroom.Fire hazard? Very comfy bed. Very steep, dangerous stairs to room. Owner very nice but did ask for payment again even though we pre-paid. Basic continental breakfast but only 3 euros each.Overall, for a one night stopover after a 9 hour drive,it did the job."

The cottage is very small, we are a family of 4 which was tight. 6 people would be too many as there is only a sofa bed to sit on in the living room so people have to sit at the dinner table in the evening. "The gite is located in a quiet village with a local baker making it handy for daily bread it has charm and character is well equipped and is adequate for 2 people we used it as a base for striking off to various lovely villages and coastal resorts travelling up to 2 hours on fairly quiet roads with lovely scenery the garden has everything. you need plenty of seating bbq etc and has a sunny aspect which is perfect if you just want to relax the occasional passing traffic mentioned by others did not bother us It is less than 2 hours from several ferry ports making it easy to reach Helen provided good communication with fast response to any queries and was most helpful Overall we had a great time the bonus was the English TV enabling me to watch the Euro championship football on an evening I would not hesitate to recommend this property"
