Original Craftsman Cottage
The Craftsman Cottage" sits overlooking the Beaufort River, part of the intra-coastal waterway. The cottage is very private. The front bedroom has a king-sized bed, the middle bedroom has two twins, and the back bedroom has a queen bed. The cottage includes two bathrooms, both with walk-in showers, one with a shallow tub, both remodeled in January 2023. There's ample parking for three cars. The private shaded garden to the side of the cottage includes patio table and chairs. A short walk or bike ride to the restaurants & shops. We proudly do our own cleaning and maintenance. As seasoned travelers we are aware what an excited guest is hoping to experience, and we strive to please.

I cannot say enough about this dreamy cottage! Duncan & Jackie are the perfect hosts. The amenities and details made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable.
We booked it again for next year before we even checked out!
Thank you so much,
The Kelley’s
Jackie and Duncan are the best hosts for this vrbo. It is so cozy and perfect. My husband and I stayed for two weeks. If we had any questions Jackie and Duncan quickly replied to our texts. A beautifully decorated 100 year old cottage.
The house was clean, stocked and ready to go. High quality linens on the bed were a nice surprise. My kids loved the bikes and the park down the road. Short walk to everything downtown. The only downside was leaving it behind to go home.
What a wonderful home - the "cottage" is well-maintained, from the beautiful interiors to the lovely landscaping and patio outside. We were a family of three - our fourth had to cancel - but even larger families will have plenty of room to spread out in this one. The beds were very comfortable - note that the master bedroom with the TV in the back with the master bath is a Queen-sized bed although the king-sized bed is in the front of the house. We did not make use of the two twin beds (shared bathroom with the king-sized bedroom) but they also looked very comfortable. The spacious dining room and kitchen is a dream - although, we spent more time heading out to restaurants recommended by the owners. The living room was fine for watching TV. Wifi was a bit sketchy at times, but who wants to stay inside when there is so much to explore outdoors?
The owners were marvelous - we met them on the day we checked in - they were out working on the landscaping - they also own the property next door and rent it out as well. They are a fantastic couple who want to ensure your stay is the best. The welcome gift was greatly appreciated. Their earnestness in ensuring we had a pleasant stay was greatly appreciated.
The location is about a short seven to eight blocks (straight shot) to all that historic downtown Beaufort has to offer and there are several streets to choose from so you are not always walking along a busy street but rather having a nice walk in the neighborhood. The walks were appreciated after feasting at some of the wonderful restaurants.
I highly recommend this home - it truly feels like a home with ample parking and a beautiful outdoor area. There is some traffic noise at night - as you are near a main street, so if you are a light sleeper, a white noise machine may help, but it's not a consistent noise level, just some trucks going by now and then - it should not stop you from checking this place out!
It's hard to explain how satisfied we were with our stay. The place had everything we needed and just felt so homey. Not sure if we'll ever return to Beaufort, but if we do, I already know where we'll be staying. Thank you Jackie and Duncan for a great place to call home.

We came into town to watch our daughter graduate as a Marine. Very attentive and helpful hosts and a quaint cottage. Wonderful experience. I would not recommend for families with very young children as the decor is beautifully placed. Young children would be very tempted to touch many items that could break. Beautiful outdoor space also! Thank you for the memorable stay!
My friends and I wanted a place that was near historic Beaufort and could accommodate the three of us having separate rooms. This property was perfect. It is beautifully furnished, immaculate and spacious. There is a large private front porch and patio area. The owners checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable. Overall just a lovely retreat.
The hosts are lovely. The property is adorable. Plenty of towels, dishes and glasses. Only one small shower and one tub made for some time management. New to rental market so missing a few standard things like baking sheets. But owner made us aware and we adapted. Close to downtown and to Parris island. Very easy to find! Would highly recommend.
The house is just so lovely! A nice walk to downtown, comfy beds, a well-stocked kitchen, a little patio, a wonderful front porch…it had everything we needed to celebrate an early Thanksgiving with our family. The owners were so responsive and helpful. It was a pleasure dealing with them. We loved this place!
