I don't have words to say how conforting was my short stay at this B&B. Jennifer and here friends were so sweet and welcoming I felt like home more than 5 thousand miles from where I live (probably my best stay in the US). Animals and pets are kings there, it shows they are very well treated. The hosts have hundred of stories to share and are a joy to be around. The breakfast was excellent and the atmosphere was very friendly. This magnificent place deserves way more time to enjoy it. It's safe even if you're a solo traveller. The hosts are just so funny and kind. I highly recommend Shady Lady B&B and I'll sure be back as soon as I can !

This is a very cute BnB, with two excellent hosts. It was clean, quiet, comfortable, and very dog friendly. They provided a delicious home made breakfast in the morning, with excellent coffee. Wish I could have stayed longer.

The room was decorated with Japanese decor so it was interesting. The bed was a little soft and the room got too hot overnight but other than that it was a neat place to stay. The owner and her husband were great and the breakfast was also great. It is about 25 minutes from Beatty, which I did not realize when I booked it.

This was a unique property. The hosts were very nice and the breakfast was good. The room and bath were in need of an update but, they were serviceable. The location was north of Beatty but, an easy drive to Beatty and Death Valley.

Unique, picturesque, with excellent service.

This is a unique locale, decorated with furnishings and pictures from a bygone era. The hostess was incredibly friendly and served me a delicious breakfast when I wanted it.

The hospitality at the Shady Lady was excellent. It was well worth the extra drive, out of the way. Both mornings they made us a hearty, delicious breakfast & sent us off with suggestions on how to spend our day. It felt like staying at a friend’s house. Cool history. This is a wonderful place to stay. Breakfast delicious and healthy. Owner made us feel welcome and comfortable. Bed and room great. Best sleep we have had on our vacation. No TV in room which we think contributed to our relaxing nights sleep. Peacocks were a plus. Highly recommend if you are looking for comfortable accommodations in an out of the way location.

We had a wonderful stay! The owners waited up for us to arrive and were very kind and welcoming. The Victorian room was cozy and the whole property was clean and that's with roaming peacocks, a goat, a couple dogs, and a cat. Breakfast was good too! They have a pool but it was a little too chilly out for us. It is in the middle of nowhere so if you're low on gas get it at Beatty on your way over from Death Valley. I got a warm hug goodbye too. Shady Lady, we hope to meet up again some day.

Having never stayed at a brothel, I was concerned whether the charge was for the night or hourly. Thankfully the owners have adopted the former rather than the latter, and have conserved the character and decor of the rooms but without the “services”! Wonderful history, and if you are a bird lover you will just die to see the 50 odd peacocks on the property. Our dogs were very well behaved, but were drooling continuously when outside! The owners are really genuine and hospitable. Breakfast was excellent, kick-ass tasty coffee! Safe surroundings to exercise the dogs, well off the road. We would love to return, but will look into the cabins as we like to be a bit self-sufficient, as we bring food like pre-cooked soup and it’s nice to just warm it up in our room. Our hosts kindly offered their kitchen facilities, but we like to be a bit inconspicuous. Unique experience!

Incredible hosts, amazing atmosphere

Hosts were so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was so fun and unlike any other place I’ve stayed. The location was quiet and away from hustle bustle. Very much enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay again.

Jennifer was incredibly sweet on the phone. Booked the Asian room but got upgraded to the cabin. It was very cozy, clean, and there were no complaints. Beware...there is an army of peacocks (this is not a joke). The fire alarm went off while showering because of the steam and there were no bowls. This in no way made the stay any less pleasant.
