"The hotel is located in the middle of the old town immediately by the train station and is within easy walking distance to everything. It is an old building and unfortunately has shared bathrooms. The room is basic but clean. The bed is hard and uncomfortable, but we were welcomed almost like family!"

"Great location but over priced. cleaning was terrible asking for clean towels everyday and almost not toilet paper had to ask for it twice. Lift not working in some floors."

"Clean, in a walking distance to the center. Nice helpful stuff, speaking English too.. They call it hostel, but it has private WC/sower. Good enough for this price."

"The apartment very spacious and immaculately clean. Vera at reception was brilliant. I was not feeling well on arrival and she made be very comfortable with a blanket and lovely pot of tea in the family room as we waited to formally check in when our room was ready. She even came to see how I was faring the next afternoon. How kind and caring. We were both touched."

"This was our 2nd stay with Dare Lisbon House. What makes the property stand out is the friendly, helpful staff; the central location; fresh DIY breakfast supplies; lovely full size toiletries in the bathroom; complimentary wine/coffee in the lobby; and feeling at home. Easy walk to Rossio Square, Avenida Liberdade, Commercial Square, and the Time Out Market. We’ve recommended Dare to many and those who stayed there love it as much as we do. "

"I can’t say enough nice things about the staff at this hotel. Every person we encountered was kind and so helpful. From the moment we walked in we were met with impeccable hospitality. The food is wonderful, drinks are delicious, rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and the nightly turndown service is an extra nice touch. I can’t wait to stay here again in the future. "
