"The cabin you stay in has a shared area where you can dine and use the fireplace. The rooms are spacious and basic amenities. They leave water which is a nice touch! "Rather dated motel. Reasonably quiet considering its in the shadow of busy route 287. Has a fridge and microwave. Beds were ok. Breakfast had good variety with pancakes yogurt bacon and eggs etc. It is what it is. Nothing special but good for a night's sleep."

Their Merry Go Round is all hand carved and so beautiful... You must also go see the Perkins Memorial Tower, breathtaking views from up there..

There is a nice Diner in Fort Montgomery named The Barnstormer BBQ which is real gem The watchtower on Bear Mountain is worth a visit
