"I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. I stayed two nights at this hotel and had dinner at the hotel restaurant on the first night. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, the employees had great smiles and service, and the food was delicious. On the second day, I had trouble finding a taxi to go to a restaurant in the next city due to the rainy weather, but to my surprise, the hotel staff gave me a lift to the restaurant. "A great place to stop over before the morning Roscoff ferry - the only disadvantage is you'll leave before breakfast. Access is a little tight, and our satnav was essential to finding it but it is good to have parking right behind. St Pol de Leon is a great town with many places to eat but you may need to book for the most popular ones."

"The hotel was easy to find , friendly staff and very clean . We enjoyed a room with a sea view on the ground floor . We would definitely stay there again . The only negative was an inconsiderate guest in the room above walking with stiletto heels at 6am until 6.30 but no fault of the hotel "

"I’ve been coming to Le Brittany since I was a little girl, and although the hotel has changed a lot, what’s not changed is the friendly welcome you always get from the staff. The hotel is very close to the ferry port so it’s a perfect place to stay if you arrive late from the ferry or have an early departure. It’s a great base to explore Roscoff from and it’s easy to stroll into the town from the hotel. One of my highlights is the buffet breakfast, so many local delights to try! "

"I was able to check in early as I was tired from travelling. It is about 5/10 minutes walk from the town centre, and about 2 minutes walk from a lovely quiet beach. All the staff were very polite and helpful, with the owner arranging a lift to the ferry port for me on my day of departure. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! "

"The property on arrival was in a very bad state. We could not stay due to this and had to take a very young baby and young child to another property booked in a short space of time. The accommodation is extremely dated, old and dirty. I would refer to it as a bit like a prison camp. Very disappointing. "

La Maison bleue close to the beach with covered swimmingpool and enclosed garden

Holiday in Plouescat

"We’ve just returned from a gorgeous 2 weeks away in this beautiful house. We were 2 families staying at this house situated in the picturesque outskirts of Plouescat. The house was was just the perfect base for travelling further inland and to local beaches. The house has a lovey covered heated pool, and the children loved the addition of the pool and table tennis tables. There is plenty of outdoor spaces to sit and chill and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the area or equally enough room for the kids to run around and play. The availability of bikes was great which gave our teenage children the independence to cycle to the local bakery or nearby beaches. We had days out to the aquarium in Brest and an amusement park La Récré des 3 Curés both about 50 mins away. We explored the local beaches our favourites were at Plage de Plouescat and Saint Pol de leon about 20 mins away. The hosts also provided lots of information of the local area. There was a market in Ploucescat on a Saturday and markets in most of the local towns all of which were all about 25 mins away. The local town of Plouescat a few mins drive away had a couple of lovely bakeries where you can sit and enjoy a coffee. As well as a reasonably large supermarket and petrol station. Thank you to Laurence and his wife for being the perfect hosts for always been available and answering any questions, also for providing lovely fresh vegetables.
