The Blue Grotto is an upper level, fully furnished, 1-bedroom, 3/4-bath luxury apartment with private entrance in the heart of downtown Bayfield within walking distance to the ferry, restaurants, shops and beaches. Private deck with lake view. Sleeps 4. Private bedroom has Cal king bed; living room has Murphy bed. Free designated alley parking. A/C available. Hardwood floors and natural stone tile throughout. Reliable Wi-Fi. Available year round. Check in 3PM; check out 11AM.

THE SPACE
Beautifully renovated apartment with great attention to the finer details in this 600+ square foot space. Ceiling has hand-painted, stenciled design on aged Italian plaster. Hardwood trim is hand-carved. Fully stocked kitchen has custom granite counters and natural stone backsplash with stylish, modern appliances. Full bath with walk-in travertine shower is beautifully tiled and decked with custom wallpaper and gorgeous trim. Drink your coffee on the walk-out deck and enjoy the lake view or lounge in the living area equipped with TV and Roku stick. Private bedroom has a luxuriously comfortable California King bed. Paired with a Murphy bed in the living area, the apartment sleeps four comfortably.

We enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was beautiful and right in the middle of all activities we needed. We toured the Apostle Islands by a Boat Cruise which was walking distance from the place. It was a wonderful vacation place.

Great place right on the Main Street through town. Walking distance to waterfront, restaurants and shops. Very clean, will definitely stay at the Blue Grotto again!

Very clean and accommodating place to stay. Short walk to many restaurants and local bars. Also one of the few that doesn't require a two night minimum, which is a very nice consideration to have. Would highly recommend!

The Blue Grotto was even nicer looking in person. Very rich details and so clean and welcoming. Excellent location right on the main street with the shops, food and straight down to the dock. Would definitely stay again.

Anniversary Getaway
The accommodations were perfect we had great communication with the owners. Our place was very close to shops, restaurants ferry boats. Within walking distance of Lake Superior. I only wish the view from the deck was a little better. Overall, a great place to stay!

Luxury vacation residence walking distance to everything!
Very clean with plenty of space inside to relax after hiking or boating. It is exactly as the pictures show and more. Great kitchen and bar area with plenty of counter space. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful property
The apartment is on a second floor walk up and is beautifully decorated, is clean, comfortable and close to everything. I would definitely stay here again. Khou and Pao are excellent hosts, and communicate very well regarding expectations and are available for questions. You can see the lake from the back porch, and the area is very walkable.

Great Location!
Located on the main drag of Bay Field and within walking distance to everything. Extremely clean with a large kitchen and living space. Perfect for 3 of us, but would fit a family of 4 with the pullout bed and large couch. We spent many hours in the evening sitting on the back deck looking at the lake. We will be back!

Exploring Bayfield WI and the Apostle Islands
The Blue Grotto is the perfect setting for sightseeing on foot. Market right across the street, ferry less than 5 min. walk and Apostle Cruise about 2 min. walk. Shops, pub, deli or restaurants, museum, marina and a few fish markets with fresh or delicious smoked fish within 5 min. The accommodations are very comfortable and very tastefully decorated. The owners definitely have an eye for detail, design and quality materials. You are close to everything, but it was very quiet, secluded and felt safe. Our car was parked right below our bedroom window. Nice back deck with a partial, but good view of the big lake. I have already recommended this to friends and family that plan to tour the area.

Wonderful Property and Location!
My husband and I had a great stay. The location is great, and the decor, furnishings, etc. are impeccable. Owners were very responsive. The only thing inside that could be improved would be instructions in the binder on how to use the heat. After the first night, we communicated with the owners and they explained what to do. The only criticism of the property is that the outside could use some maintenance. The interior was gorgeous and we loved our stay very much! Thank you!
