"We just returned from an unforgettable long weekend at the Oceanside beachfront cabins, and I can’t say enough good things about this little slice of coastal heaven. Nestled right along the shoreline, the views are nothing short of spectacular—panoramic ocean vistas from sunrise to sunset, with the soothing sound of waves providing the perfect soundtrack to your stay. The cabins are perfectly rustic and full of charm, striking that ideal balance between authentic beachside simplicity and all the comforts you need. Everything was thoughtfully stocked and set up for a relaxing escape. It felt like we were stepping back to a simpler time, without sacrificing convenience. One of the best parts? It’s incredibly dog-friendly. Our pups had the time of their lives running along the beach just steps from our door, and we loved not having to leave them behind. Whether we were sipping coffee on the deck or watching the stars come out by the fire, every moment felt special. If you’re looking for an authentic coastal retreat with breathtaking views and a laid-back vibe, this is the spot. We’re already dreaming about our next visit."

"This was our first time staying in Cannon Beach as a family, despite being PNW natives. I wanted a new experience and remembered enjoying Cannon Beach as a kid, plus we wanted a room right on the ocean and a nicer hotel than some of the popular beaches offer. This did not disappoint! The hotel is nicely renovated, the staff are wonderful, polite, attentive and professional. Our room was very clean despite being one of the King patio rooms (easy to track sand into), and every thing in the room worked as it should. I had doubts about the pull-out couch since they're rarely comfy or desirable, but our kids slept great with no complaints. The pool is decent enough to entertain kids for a few hours after a day on the beach and walking in town, and my husband I loved being able to sit in the green space outside our room with a drink at sunset. The only improvement I can think of is the adjoining restaurant, the Wayfarer. While we loved there was a room service option, the dinner menu didn't have anything for kids and no casual option like a burger or appetizer. The lunch menu has items that would have been great at 9 pm. We didn't try the breakfast, but should have because 2 of the three nearby coffee shops were closed and the other was wiped out of food - just an FYI if you have kids needing a quick bite before heading out for the day. All that said, we will absolutely stay here again and can't wait for another trip! The Surfsand is a gem!"

"The property and staff were excellent. It is a great location, and it was great having beach access. They provided chairs to use on the beach for free and fire wood for beach fires for purchase. "

" never know what to expect with older hotels, butthis one wasa delight. The staff is terrific and the place is spotless. They have a saltwater pool! When you check in you can order a breakfast sandwich for the mornng. It was very good and perfect for us as we were anxious to get on the road. Tillamook is a nice small town with the Tillamook cheese factory as a big attraction, not to mention the beaches."
