"This is a unique rental. We stayed 5 nights in July. It is in good location for hiking the east coast trails. The cottage interior was painted with a pastel color and included high quality sheets and towels. Good quality furniture, comfortable bed and the kitchen was well equipped and (wait for it) sharp knives. The side deck’s outdoor eating area was welcomed after a long day of hiking. Directions to the cottage might be improved by stating that it is on the right side of the road and set back...

"This was a great place to stay! It is in a great location to day trip to most of the Avalon Peninsula including St. John’s. You are so close you could walk to 3 whale watching tours and for the adventurous it is a 4km walk to the Bay Bulls lighthouse on the East Coast Trail. The balcony looks out over Bay Bulls which was great for the never ending search for whales (bring binoculars). It was very clean, had everything we needed and was very quiet and private from the house. The hosts were quick...

"I wasn't ready for the 36 stairs to reach the unit, or the loud bass from the Dance club next door on the weekend. Probably better suited to a younger renter."

"We stayed here last year on Friday night of the Labour day weekend as well. Great place...very quiet, out of the way of the main roads and highways. We have stayed in two different units and both were extremely clean, even clean smelling. Kudos to the housekeeper (we met her last year but I forget her name). The owners are also super nice and friendly. We have two kids, age 4 and 9 and found the place to be very spacious and inviting. Hoping to make this a yearly tradition of staying here Friday...
