Absolutely perfect place for a girls trip! Cutest cabin I’ve ever been to on a beautiful quiet lake. Definitely will stay here again!

Wedding weekend
We got married this past weekend at the 1910 sip house. The a frame was the perfect place to stay and it offered easy access to our wedding venue, and allowed our kids a place of rest and escape from the busy events.

Always a perfect stay..
This is our 2nd year at the A Frame and we’ve already booked for next summer. We just love staying here. The cabin is clean, well stocked with everything you should need, the beds are so comfortable, wifi/tv, AC, tons of great lake toys, a great swimming area, and an awesome fire pit. Melissa is always super great to communicate with and is so kind and accommodating. A+/5 stars/2 thumbs up!

Our stay was great! We had a wonderful time, and the property was exactly as shown in pictures and described. Jack was an excellent communicator and was more than willing to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The lake access was perfect, and the pontoon was very nice! Great weekend at a wonderful retreat!
Matt and Melissa are wonderful hosts. They are very responsive and I couldn't ask for better people to deal with! The lake didn't have a lot of boating activity and the views are wonderful. If our family doesn't get any bigger we would love to stay again.

Great Rental
This rental was great! The owner was really nice and responsive. The cabin was clean and very nice. The lake was great for swimming with a small child. The cabin had a small basket of toys as well that our toddler love. The cabin is on a beautiful clear lake and the access was great. Very happy with this experience.

Great Lake house
We loved our stay at Battle Creek. The cabin was unique, cozy and immaculate. The location of the cabin to Glendalough State Park, Battle Creek, Ottertail and Perham made it accessible to get food and restaurants. Jack (the owner) made it hard to want to go anywhere else. The had the essentials and made cooking a breeze however most of our nights were spent by the firepit near the lake. All in all it was a great family vacation and we look forward to going back soon!

Cute Cabin!
Melissa the host is amazing is to work with! She is very responsive to any questions or concerns you have. The cabin is in a great location and completely stocked with everything you need- games, towels, etc. The cabin is super cute and clean with enough bedrooms and baths to accommodate up to 2 families or more. It has a small sandy beach for swimming or fishing off dock, kayaks, canoe and paddle boat. We had a wonderful time staying here and are already booked for next year!

A little lakeside charm
Just as expected, rustic charm surrounded us for a couple days of family time spent around the table. Had we been outdoor people, we might have ventured out with some snowshoes or skates on the lake just steps from the back patio area. Our stay was cut short due to a predicted snowstorm, but the time we had in the A frame was comfortable and memorable. Thanks for sharing your lovely space with us.

Beautiful Family Getaway!
This place is amazing! The cabin is beautiful with its rustic charm, but also has all the updated comforts you could want! Our family of five (and one pup) had more than enough room and enjoyed the beautifully clear lake every day! We caught fish, tubed and swam at the sand bar. The kids loved the sand box and dock where they caught fish on their own. Battle Lake is a very charming little town with plenty of restaurants, shoppes, etc. We loved Granny's Pantry (ice cream)! Jack was an awesome host. Always available and would check in occasionally, but never intrusive. This place is better than the pictures and we hope to be back again!

This Vacation was among the best family time we have had. Mom and Dad, 2 Sons/Daughters in law 3 Grandkids all love this Vacation Home. The A Frame was very well equipped and was just as described. Spending most of our time outside in the large beautiful park like yard. The lake landing/ dock was perfect too. The kids could continually catch little sunfish off the dock and adults caught the larger fish every time out on the lake. We have many relatives living in the Lake Region and they were also very impressed with this property when they came out to visit us. The local area supports family fun and retailers are the greatest. We highly recommend this property and have already rebooked for next year. Don't miss this one.

Book this cabin!
This cabin is beautiful! It has plenty of charm AND comfort! The beds, sheets, and furniture were really comfotable & cozy. No scratchy "bed in a bag" here! Everything was super clean. The yard has lots of space to play frisbee or games, as well as a great sandbox with toy. The water is so clear that swimming is a lot of fun. We had a great time fishing, even off of the dock! The fish are not shy! The boat is big, clean, and easy to use. It was nice to be able to rent it and not have to go to town to rent one. Jack was easy to work with and did everything he could to make our stay great! Don't hesitate and book this cabin right away! My kids were sad to leave and had tears when we left. We'll for sure be back!

We had the most wonderful family vacation at this beautiful cabin and can’t wait for next year!!!
We stayed at Jack and Heathers beautiful A-Frame cabin for 2 weeks and it exceeded our expectations! What a relaxing and fun family vacation! We are already anxious to come back next year! The cabin is absolutely amazing and one of a kind! It had everything we needed and more. Plenty of rooms and beds for 1 or multiple families! We loved that they thought of providing a basket of toys and books and a large sandbox for young kiddos! The rooms were cozy and clean and the beds were very comfortable! We enjoyed cozying up and watching movies in the basement at night! The lake is beautiful and perfect for fishing and all water sports. There really isn’t a bad or rough day on this lake and we had so much fun! There are many small towns nearby with fun shops, bakeries, restaurants and fun activities to explore! Jack and Heather are welcoming and gracious hosts and always available if we needed anything! We enjoyed getting to know them and their family! You will not be disappointed booking this property!

Comfortable. Spacious. Breathtaking. Fun!
This A-Frame Cabin is so amazing! I was impressed by the photos but even more so in person! There is more beauty and more space than I expected! The cabin is clean and airy and has a unique design. I had friends and family visit over the weekend and every time someone got a tour I could hear “Wow! Look at that!” and “Whoa! Look at this!” and “This is so cool!” Everyone was amazed and wants to book it in the future! There was plenty of seating and space for all of us to enjoy being there. The property outside was set up so nice! I loved the built-in outdoor bar, fire pit area and a beautiful view of the lake. It was a joy to wake up every morning and look out to the stillness of the lake. The evenings were beautiful by the water and the sunsets were magnificent! The pontoon was a great addition to the weekend getaway! Simple, very clean, lots of comfy seating and enough space for us to walk around and jump off into the water. I loved the lake! It’s great size, very clean and not too busy! The kids had a blast swimming! They didn’t want to leave when it was time to check out. This will definitely be an annual (if not more frequently) getaway for my family!

Lovely, quiet, great stay!
My family of 4 stayed at the A Frame for 6 nights and we had a wonderful stay. The property owner, Melissa, communicated with us from start to finish and responded quickly if we had any questions. She was really kind and wanted to make sure our stay was perfect. They left us a couple of gift cards to some local spots which was really cool. The house is exactly as advertised. So cozy, comfortable, nice and cool, and the beds and linens were comfortable too. The kitchen was well stocked. My 4 year old enjoyed the blocks, toys, and puzzles that were provided. The shed was stocked with floaties, yard games, paddle board, etc which was a really nice bonus. I don’t like coming from out of state and having to constantly buy sand toys, life jackets, and floats so I really appreciated this! The fire pit was awesome and was used by us almost every night. Tons of beach towels were available as well. I think the thing we liked the most was just how quiet it was. No constant noise of yard work/blowers and the lake was filled with jet skis and boats. It was quiet allllll day and we appreciated that so much. Washer and dryer is a must for us and they have a nice set at this place and they had laundry soap/dryer sheets which was nice that I didn’t have to buy that for a short trip. The beach was lovely and very sandy. They have canoes and a paddle boat for use and a ton of sand toys (and a small slide) for the littles. We come to Minnesota every summer to see my family and we always pick a new lake to stay But we were very happy with this place so we’ve already booked for next summer. Fingers crossed it’s just as wonderful next year.

Amazing cabin and host!
We loved our stay at this cabin. The description and pictures of this property not do it justice. Perfect amount of space for 4 adults and 2 kids, it could probably comfortable fit more. The kids always had something to do, one is 3 and the other is 12. They were never board. The communication with the host was wonderful and very helpful. Will definitely stay there again!
