"The hotel offers a charming atmosphere in the heart of Båstad. The interior is well-designed, with plenty of seating areas and fireplaces, creating a relaxing environment. The rooftop pool and bar area are particularly appealing and provide a great spot to unwind. One unique aspect is the constant flow of guests in robes, moving between the spa and the outdoor baths, which adds to the relaxed vibe. The room itself had some quirks. The sink is located outside the bathroom, which can be inconvenient, especially at night. The rooms are small but quiet, with open wardrobes and minimal storage. The bed felt narrow and short, though we’re accustomed to a king-size at home, so this may be personal preference. Both the pillows and the bathroom towels were surprisingly small, which detracted slightly from the experience. Breakfast is served in a spacious restaurant with beautiful views. While the spread isn’t the largest we’ve encountered, it covers all the essentials and maintains a good quality. Overall, despite a few imperfections, the hotel delivers a high standard, particularly for a Swedish property, and remains one of the better options available."

The location is excellent, with shops nearby, available parking, and easy access to public transport. The reception staff is friendly and always ready to help. "Nice hotel polite staff and good breakfast (but VERY busy at 06.30 I had to leave without any!) building work was going on and so ask for a room at the front (note this is not an option for disabled travelers all rooms with showers/accessible rooms are at the back)"

"Elite Hotel Martenson is situated in old town Halmstad and walkable from the train station. The central location provides easy access to restaurants, parks, cultural events, public facilities and a short bicycle ride to a beautiful beach. The hotel itself was very quaint, well maintained and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The restaurants on site provided another excellent amenity. Although we did not get a chance to use the gym it was probably one of the best equipped we’ve seen"
