"It is a country house, run by a very nice accommodating family. They go out of their way to please you, and make you feel at home. It is a quite out of the way place, relaxed atmosphere. It was fine for us that were traveling to Lisbon, and needed a rest. I don’t recommend this place if you are looking fir beaches, or mountains. The Alentejo area is hot and dry."

"When we arrived the place was clean and organized. It is located in a very quiet place. It is a good place to take a break from the city. It has good access to the beach and the villages in the neighbourhood I had all the essentials for a short break. Overall a very cosy place."

"No emergency numbers ie Doctor ,Dentist, Vet, Fire or flood or electricity. No information about shops bars restaurants or places to visit. Very very overlooked and close to neighbours with barking dogs and Crowing early morning Cockerel!!!. Had NO contact with owner apart from 1 Phone call never saw the man . Unable to discuss various problems with A The oven that kept switching itself off and didn’t,t reach temperature! B Front door unable to lock properly!"

"Such a charming property in a beautiful, unspoiled region. We loved being in the countryside just outside Melides. Great pool and outside space with fantastic beaches and resturants nearby. Host was super attentive and gave us excellent local tips. Highly recommend!"
