Escape to Casa Maderas. Nestled within its walled compound, this private retreat boasts a large blue-tile pool, a charming Palapa bar, and a lush tropical garden. Its spacious Great Room, complete with a long bar, gourmet-size kitchen, lounge area, and Smart TV, is surrounded by 3 separate, generously appointed suites. Securely gated with parking for three vehicles, Casa Maderas is just a short stroll from beaches, restaurants, and local shops.
The Casa's free-standing Great Room allows families and friends to converge at a 6-seater long bar, enjoy dining at tables for 8+, cook in a gourmet size kitchen made for multiple chefs, or to simply relax and enjoy board games or watch the smart TV.
Each suite at Casa Maderas, named after local trees, offers ample space with dressing rooms, bathrooms, showers, fans, and air conditioning.
All suites open onto a red-tiled veranda with hammocks, overlooking the expansive lawn leading to the sun-heated, blue-tiled pool.
Adjacent to the pool, the Palapa bar is a relaxing spot to enjoy refreshments.
The Casa's Marvelous Sra. Lupita will be on-site during the day to assist guests, perform housekeeping services, maintain the tropical garden with her father, Sr. Marcos, and feed the Casa pets (Poppy, Buddy & Flaco).
Sra. Lupita is a Spanish-speaker but has years of working with non-Spanish speakers and is well-versed in Google Translate.
Casa Maderas is a family home built out of a coco palm jungle and settled by the Parks Family's amazing matriarch, Ruette Parks, in 2000. The Northrop Pine in the Garden was planted to celebrate Ruette's life. Parks Family members continue to enjoy Casa Maderas whenever possible and are delighted that guests will do the same with their families and friends.
Casa Maderas provides Pro Animal Melaque with a haven for periodic fostering of kittens and puppies. Guests cannot bring pets because the Casa is the forever home of two rescue cats (Buddy & Flaco) and one elderly small dog (Poppy). Casa pets are friendly and roam the grounds freely. They are quite content and guests can enter and exit the property without fear of a pet escape. Sra. Lupita ensures that the Casa pets are well fed.
Casa Maderas has exceptional WIFI with multiple access points for coverage property-wide.
There are no self-service laundry facilities onsite. Senora Lupita provides laundry services to guests for a fee.
ALL towels (bath and beach) and sheets will be changed once a week.
The pool is not enclosed or separated from the other parts of the property with a fence. At the time of booking, guests will be required to sign a GUEST AGREEMENT, RELEASE & WAIVER OF LIABILITY. The Pool is maintained by staff several times a week.
The Parks Family strives to conserve energy for the over-all benefit of the environment. Consequently, a surcharge will be imposed for excess usage. To contribute to a healthy recognition of global environmental concerns, ensure that all guests keep doors and windows closed when air conditioning is turned on, and turn off fans and air conditioning units when rooms are vacated for the day, and at the end of the stay.
If guests venture beyond the Casa's walls, the humble fishing village of Barra de Navidad (Sandbar of Christmas) and neighboring towns can be explored: walk Barra's Malecon; hire a fishing boat for the day; take a panga boat ride across the lagoon and dine at a restaurant near Colimilla or golf at Isla Navidad Golf Course; check out the neighboring beach towns of Melaque, Cuastecomates, La Manzanilla, Boca de Iquanas or the Parks Family favorite - Tenacatita.
