Located close to North Devon’s spectacular coast, this single-storey cottage is ideal for a lazy weekend or a full week of exploring. Suited to couples, friends and young families, the cottage is very well appointed with two en-suite bedrooms and a light and spacious open plan living area. Located on the outskirts of the quiet village of Kentisbury, next to the owner’s home, the cottage is perfectly positioned for your stay in this stunning part of the British Isles. Nearby Combe Martin has a beach which is great for rock pooling at low tide and the village has a good range of shops and pubs.
There are numerous attractions within easy reach of the property, including the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Watermouth Castle and the Lynton to Lynmouth cliff railway. At Croyde and Woolacombe you will find some of the best and cleanest surf beaches in the country as well as many smaller coves and bays. Exmoor is a short distance away where, on a clear day, the views can be spectacular. Highlights on Exmoor include Withypool, Tarr Stepps and Dunkery Beacon. There are National Trust properties at Arlington and Knightshayes and the RHS gardens at Rosemoor and Great Torrington as well as horse riding, fishing and golf, all available locally. Beach 3¼ miles. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

We wanted a 2-bed single storey property near to Barnstaple and this fitted the bill very well.
We wanted a 2-bed single storey property near to Barnstaple and this fitted the bill very well. Also accommodating two guinea pigs was not a problem. The owner was very welcoming and provided a few replacement items we requested and also adjusted the timing of the electrical heating to suit us better. Drain cleaner was also provided after we reported the showers were draining rather slowly. The Christmas decoration was tasteful and we enjoyed the daughter's creative designs. The appalling weather was out of anyone's control, but having a hosepipe to clean the car was a bonus. We can well imagine it would be great for a summer trip particularly for surfers.
