We knew that Barneveld was devastated by a tornado in 1984 & we thought there’d be a museum. There was not, but was told that the library had many articles /stories about that terrible event.

Good enough stay for an overnight trip. Lobby area feels almost like a game room/kid’s area, so I was unsure at first where to check in. Otherwise, stay was pleasant aside from the blinds handle breaking and the television remote not working.

We drove to Mt. Horeb and ate at the Grumpy Troll. Great area. Lot's of fun. My 6 year old grandson is still talking about the Cave of the Mounds. Great trip.
