Warm, clean, comfortable and spacious. Bed was a bit soft for me but you can not please everyone. We were able to sit out at the back and enjoy the sunshine(for a few hours!) Would like to return. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely area, especially if you are a walker.
Lovely area, especially if you are a walker. Cottage well equipped for disabled. We found it a little cool until we lit the log burner but it was a very cold time. Quite a few pubs in the immediate area, tried most and wouldn't fault any of them, although all very different. Unfortunately a lot of places are only open Thursday, Friday, Sat and Sun over the winter. Unless you travel towards Bishop Auckland and find Sainsburys the only other shop is the coop about 4 miles away. No post office locally.

Nice cottage which is well equipped and comfortable.
Nice cottage which is well equipped and comfortable. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. The cottage is quite remote - a car is essential. Plenty to do in the area - especially walking. Only minus (could be a plus for some) - no internet. Would go again.

Lovely accommodation, spacious and well equipped.
Lovely accommodation, spacious and well equipped. However, the lack of conventional oven caused problems and I think this should be clearly stated in the description. We don't do microwave cooking. Other than this, it was a great place to spend a few days relaxing.
