The Eixample neighborhood is safe and family-friendly with plenty to do on your doorstep. The apartment is located next to Paseo de Gracia street, and 10 min away from Plaza Catalunya, the city centre of Barcelona.
The Space:
Welcome to this 170 m2 spacious and bright flat in a historical building located next to the emblematic centre of Barcelona, Plaça Catalunya.
Natural light flows through the living area, making it bright and airy. Surrounded by large windows, the room has a large, comfy sofa, and flat-screen TV, so you can make yourself at home.
The open-plan space includes a dining table, so you can enjoy a meal with family or friends. You’ll find everything you need to prepare a meal in the well-equipped kitchen. All the appliances are modern and easy to use.
The apartment has a capacity for up to 8 people distributed in 4 bedrooms:

- After your reservation is confirmed, you will be requested to self-register via Chekin platform, where you will need to register all guests and pay the mandatory tourist taxes.

The Neighborhood:
The Eixample is a modernist district that stretches from Plaça de Catalunya and includes both residential and business areas. It is the neighbourhood where you can find Carrer de Valencia, in which the apartment is situated. It’s known for its grid system of straight streets, which was built in the 1860s to accommodate the city’s rising population. There are many restaurants and cafes in this region, which is full of modernist structures with stone and iron embellishments on their façade.
The location is a transit - oriented street lined with stunning modernist architecture. There are many stores, cafés, and restaurants in the area, and you can walk around Paseo de Gracia in 10 minutes or Las Ramblas and the Gothic quarter in 20 minutes.
Getting Around:
The closest metro station is Passeig de Gracia (Lines 2, 3 & 4).
The quickest way to go to the airport would be taking the train towards "Aeroport" at Passeig de Gracia. There are trains every 20min and it costs around 5€.
Other Things to Note:
*** TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS ***
- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small fee of 2.25€ + VAT per person over 17 years old and per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. Also, from 2022 Barcelona City Council applies 3.25€ + VAT to the tourist tax as a city tax fee, also per person over 17 years old and per night up to a maximum of 7 nights.
- This cost of 6.65€ per person over 17 years old and per night up to a maximum of 7 nights IS NOT included on your reservation.
- National and International police demand that each guest, prior to their visit to Barcelona, would send information of their IDs or passports. This is mandatory, as it is stated in Catalan Law, and all legal touristic establishments are required to do so.
- This apartment uses a self-checkin system via the Chekin platform that will allow you to register all guests on the reservation and pay the mandatory tourist taxes before your arrival.
*** CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT ***
Check-in time is at 17:00 hrs
Check-out is at 11:00 am (non-agreed late check-outs will incur on a 100€ charge per hour late)
*** HOUSE RULES ***
1. Parties, drugs, loud noise or any kind of disturbance towards the neighbors are completely forbidden, with a penalty of 400€ and possible eviction
2. Please observe quiet time between 10pm - 9am.
3. Respect your neighbors and be respectful in common areas (hallways, entrance, elevator, stairs).
4. Loss of keys will have a 100€ charge per key lost.
5. Smoking on interior areas will have a charge of 100€ + all cleaning fees involved.
6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities.
7. Please leave the apartment in a respectable condition.
Not following those rules will incur on a monetary sanction and the full responsibility of any fines from the local administration or authorities.
