Fantastic and Bright Apartment in the Heart of Gothic area 10 min from the beach

Great 70 m² apartment with lots of natural light that consists of 2 large double bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other with 2 single trundle beds, both beds are comfortable), 4 balconies, living-dining room with 1 double sofa bed comfortable, kitchen and 1 bathroom with shower. The apartment is in the fourth floor an old building typical of the Gothic quarter. Both have been recently renovated. The modern and beautiful decoration of the apartment combines perfectly with the old style of the building. The building is accessed from Ripoll Street but the apartment and the main façade face the Plaza dels Peixos (Fish Square). As a curious fact, in the building where this apartment is located, the oldest pharmacy in the city still operates. Public parking very close to the apartment (Avinguda de la Catedral). Note: there is an even closer parking lot, but for the first day it is easier to get to the one on Av. de la Catedral. The building where the apartment is located is right next to the Gothic cathedral of Barcelona, just 500 meters from the port and its adjacent beaches. Due to its unique location, it is not necessary to use any type of transport, being a 5-minute walk from Las Ramblas and Plaça Catalunya. Most of the museums and most important attractions are accessible on foot, however the main Bus and Metro lines are located right next to the apartment. It does not have an elevator like most of the old buildings in the Gothic quarter.

Great location for a short term stay
The apartment was in a perfect location for a few days of exploring Barcelona. Easy to get around everywhere and the management company was very helpful. The spacious living room is great, though the cot bed in the smaller bedroom was quite uncomfortable. The check in process wasn’t ideal, with the team member meeting us showing up over an hour past our set meeting time with no communication to us that this would be the case. Other than that, we had no issues with the apartment or making arrangements.

The apartment was very nice with character. Perfect location in Gothic Quarter. Close to countless restaurants and bakeries. Markets also close by. Negative is the many stairs and narrow stair well.

Great Barcelona rental
This rental worked out beautifully for our stay in Barcelona. The location was perfect. Right in the middle of everything so we could walk everywhere. Apartment was clean and beds were comfortable. Kitchen was stocked so we could make simple meals for our family. Lots of stairs, but not a problem for our group. Would definitely recommend a stay here if you can handle the 75 steps up.

Great location!
The apartment was wonderful!!! Our family of 4 spent 3 days touring all over Barcelona. It is located in fantastic area, easy to walk all around the Gothic Quarter, close to Las Ramblas and the marina. The host greeted us and we had no problems checking in. They even arranged transportation from the airport for us. As noted in previous reviews, there are A LOT of steps up to the apartment. It wasn’t much of an issue for us (except with luggage) but please be aware.

Communication with property manager is not the greatest. Check in process did not run smoothly
I adequately communicated with property manager and lady who will process our checkni. When we got there whichbis the time for check in, apartment wasn't ready and cleaning crew still mopping . Carolina was rushing us stated that we did not complete the online check in, which we never got an email that we are suppose to fill out. On their site they said we are going to pay 4 euro per person per night but the lady ask for 5 euronper person per night. Overall not happy with the process but location is good.

Incredible location
The place is beautiful and check in was a mess but I think not a usual circumstance— the additional charges when we got there were really what I was unhappy about. They charged fees for travelers. No other place did that. Seemed like a scam. But great place and service. We certainly paid for it!

Fabulous location!
Perfect for exploring everything Barcelona has to offer. Beds are comfy , heating worked very well , it was cold in Barcelona, and the kitchen had everything we needed. As has been mentioned in other reviews there are a lot of stairs and the building is old , which I loved, so you get exposed beams fabulous brick walls and slightly wonky stairs . We would happily stay again!

Great location but LOTS of steps!
We ended a cruise early the day we arrived in Barcelona so needed a place to store luggage before we could check in. There was a luggage storage business just right around the corner so that was very convenient. We also were able to check in early which we much appreciated. This was our first trip to Barcelona so I did not really know where to stay, but knew we wanted to be near Las Ramblas. The apartment is very close and was a great location to catch the hop on hop off bus and walk to shopping, restaurants, etc. We even decided to walk to Sagrada Familia passing some amazing Gaudi buildings and exploring many beautiful neighborhoods. The apartment is spacious and clean. Here are the things I did not love about the property: The HOT dark narrow stairwell up to the apartment. Thankfully the property manager sent a gentleman to let us in and he carried my suitcase up or I would have never been able to get it up the stairs. There were no regular plugs and yes I brought a converter, BUT we also had 4 cell phones and 2 apple watches to charge. I would think they would provide at least one or 2 USB charging ports. We did charge one on the tv usb and one on the cable box usb They do not provide any shampoo or body wash. Luckily someone had left some shampoo so be prepared to go buy some or bring your own Definitely noise from below on Saturday night but was quiet on Sunday night A few more positives: AC cooled the apartment quite well Exposed brick and beams in the ceiling are just gorgeous One or 2 English speaking channels on the tv:) Linens were clean and very soft Again, the location is EXCELLENT

Great central location and well stocked apartment. It should be noted that apartment 'WHITE' is located on the 4th floor. This means that there are 75 narrow steps to navigate to the front door. Lifting suitcases to and from the apartment was a challenge. There is no fire escape other than the main stairwell which is narrow enough for only a single person to walk down - you cannot walk down two abreast. The apartment is centrally located and you can easily walk to anywhere within the Gothic quarter

Central location in lovely apartment
We enjoyed our stay at this comfortable apartment. It combines the charm of an authentic gothic building while all else is modern and clean. Our communication with the property manager was easy and reliable. There is not an elevator as is common with older buildings and we didn’t mind the climb for our view. This unit has heating and a washer that was not included in the rental overview. All worked great. We would stay here again.

Great location, very clean.
Our family had a nice stay here after arriving in Barcelona. The apartment is well located, spacious and clean. You do have to walk up several flights of stairs but this is pretty standard for this area I think.

Fantastic location for a Barcelona visit
We had a fantastic time in Barcelona and this apartment was about perfect for us. The location is fantastic and it has everything you need. Only drawbacks were the stairs (as mentioned by others) but also the bathroom/shower aren't well lit and feel a bit dated/needing a renovation.
