A great house, spacious, with a well supplied kitchen. Great reviews when the property was managed by the owner, Marnie. Unfortunately on the day of our arrival, Marnie’s son, Clark took over the management of the property. On the first day I sent him a text because I couldn’t turn on the lights in the dinning room. I asked if it was the bulbs. His response was abrasive, letting me know the reason was that I had probably been “tampering” with the light switch, instructed me to call him only on certain times, and to text him to address only “ the important issues”. Three days later the air conditioning in the bedroom stopped working. After multiple attempts to contact him he instructed me to reset it. I had to go online, find the original user’s manual, and turn on and off the fuse box. I did this several nights, and every time the air was not working, until I finally told him to send a tech. The repair team confirmed the software was irreparably damaged and the whole unit needed to be changed, but that this could not be done until the week after. The owner never called, showed up, or informed me of the plan. The fridge gradually stopped working. I had to throw 120 euros worth of food because of a failing fridge in the dead of summer. Clark told me it was my fault because I lowered the temperature of the fridge from 6 to 1 degree Celsius(when I sensed the fridge was not working that what i had to do). Of course the techs confirmed there was no damage and that the issue had nothing to do with the users. Simply, no one had defrosted the fridge in a long time,. I had to spend the next 24 defrosting the fridge. Clark never showed up or offered to address the problem himself. At our departure he charged us a significant portion of our deposit in damages for the “repair of the fridge” and an nonexistent damage to the “tiles on the pool”(he said he had to by water proof glue to glue a couple of loose tiles). If you rent this property and you have a problem, you will have to deal with Clark. Be warned. While the house is lovely, the proximity (500 m) to a Dexailleria (in Catalan a Waste Management Site, see google maps), the constant odor of marijuana from two doors down (I told my two young nieces it was a nice lady making tea next door), and the lack of customer service skills of Clark, it is not a property I can recommend. This was witnessed and the negative opinion was shared by all the guests.
