"We didn't get the e-mail with the codes to the doors. The wifi doesn't connect to the internet. Our room wasn't cleaned during our stay. The place lokks abandoned from the inside. The room wasclean when we arrived. The inside of the place looks nice. "

"The whole family loved our spacious and well equipped apartment in a beautiful setting with far reaching views. The generous welcome box of essentials was a lovely surprise, as was the delicious bottle of wine. Enjoyed al fresco dining in our own garden area and the kiddies play equipment was much appreciated - as was the fabulous swimming pool. Drive into San Gimignano took just 8 minutes along delightful country road."

"The owners are amazing. The room was clean, the breakfast was always fresh and homemade. We used the covered outdoor seating area every afternoon to enjoy a bottle of wine and take in the SPECTACULAR view. Anna even shared her delicious Torte recipe with us and we cannot wait to try and replicate when we get home. "

"The proprietor Manfredi was very accommodative, informative about the area and even gave us a tour of the property. The room was exceptionally clean, and with a car only about 2-3 minutes from San Gimignano. The property affords great views of the Tuscan landscape."

"Lovely large rustic traditional rooms in stunning Tuscan countryside setting. Handy location for visiting the many local historic villages & towns of the area. Excellent breakfast with a large variety of choices & will cook eggs to your order. Lovely swimming pool in the grounds & on-site restaurant. The added benefit was that our 2no dogs were allowed to stay in the hotel"

"Fairytale castle style home style hotel in this beautiful medieval town. Be aware you can’t drive your car up into the old city - so pack light- you need to park outside the city walls and walk up. Really great location, private terrace, clean and homely - loved the authentic feel of this place. "

"If you're looking for a place that's quiet and off the beaten path this is it! Set in the beautiful country side, the scenery and gorgeous views itself will calm even the most turbulent mind! My family and I (3 total- English speakers only-which was fine most staff was able to communicate) stayed only one night, but it was wonderful. The place is a bit rustic, but in good condition. "Like all of the reviews available this property overall was great. The rooms and bathrooms are on the small side and could do with a paint: however the rooms are still comfortable. I had a room with a balcony and it was amazing to watch the sunrise and sunset from there. The staff were all kind and helpful and the communal areas and breakfast area were great. Plenty of breakfast options to choose from. My recommendation is to have a car (where possible) as taxi from Poggibonsi train station was $60 euros and when it came to leaving: the local bus simply never arrived 😳😩😡. 2 others and I were lucky enough to hail a local man who drove us to the station in time to meet the train. Grazie 😘"

"Lovely hotel in a fabulous location. Right in the main square of beautiful San Gimignano. Walk right out your door to all the action. We were there during a big festival and couldn’t hear anything from our room that had a valley view. Breakfast was also excellent. Bringing your car into the city to drop off your luggage is challenging for people not used to driving in ancient walled cities! Stop at the red lights in the city even if you don’t see a reason to. After dropping off your luggage you will need to park just outside the city walls. We had a good time having drinks in the square at the bar next to the hotel entrance. "

Wonderful hotel staff

"We arranged for transportation from train station Poggibonsi which serves San Gimignano to hotel with return after our stay. Excellent service. Hotel staff always helpful. Located inside gates of old city with wonderful local restaurants and coffee shops. Good breakfast buffet option. We stayed in lots of hotels on our trip to Italy and this one is favorably memorable. "

"This is not an hotel or a Bed and Breakfast but a working farm (vineyard and olive groves) with a beautiful guesthouse with comfortable basic bedrooms. The dinners are family style for each room/group and there is only one menu per evening. The dinners were delicious and the wine was very good. There were activities you could sign up for as well. But the greatest part of the property is the views of the vineyards, olive groves, and the Tuscan countryside. Absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful. The family who owns it and their staff were all friendly and helpful. We felt renewed after staying there."
