"We loved everything about our 4 week stay at this beautiful home. Amazing views, and a comfortable and well thought out floor plan that would suit a group of 6 - 8. Nicely finished interior with a modern aesthetic . That being said, I’m guessing the property is 20+ years old with original finishing, appliances, dishes, bedding, air conditioners, blinds and tile work. There is water damaged walls inside and out. "This is a great place to stay. Super clean and very well-equipped. Just a short walk to the beach and there are some good restaurants nearby if you don't want to go into the old town. Also close to a large supermarket and theres a mini-market 5 mins walk away. The host is also very helpful and responsive to communications. Overall highly recommended!"

"We had a great stay at Janelo do Mar. The villa is in a great location near restaurants and a short drive to beautiful beaches. We had a few issues which Isabel did her best to sort out. One point I would raise is the lack of lighting by the BBQ area. We were only a family of 4 so could eat during the evening at the small table outside the villa overlooking the pool but we couldn’t see to BBQ! "Overall the property and location were good. However, the villa would benefit from some "routine maintenance" which would have given it 5 stars from us. When we arrived, the dishwasher didn't work. We reported it and 3 days later, they took the old one away and left us with nothing for the rest of our stay. When we used the sink to hand wash the dishes, it leaked dirty water all over the kitchen floor due to poor plumbing. One of the air conditioning units needed maintenance as it sprayed ice...

I will say that the bed was definitely way too hard for me and this was agreed by the other members who stayed at the villa with us. The only down fall was the checkin process with villa Algarve. On the booking it states you will receive the checkin information a week before. I had to contact the company 5 days before, and then I messaged them on the day...
