Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Okay
Pros: isolated if that’s what you’re looking for that. Plenty of space in the house for 4 couples, we liked the multiple living areas and lots of couches. Main rooms looked nice. Lots of little things in the house provided like salt, sugar, foil, utensils etc. friendly owners for the most part. Lots of wildlife around which was nice. Most parts of the house were very clean and the fire is really nice. Perfect if you want to really get away with a large family.
Cons: dirt road up, don’t drive up at night if you’re not confident or have a nice car. No internet or call service up there unless you are with Telstra. The owner sounded a bit condescending to my mum when she called about it - Would be good to be warned of the service issue before hand. ‘Kids room’ not very comfortable and the bathroom leading off it is also the laundry and has cracks and looks quite sad. Wouldn’t use outdoor toilet or bbq as it did not look clean or cared for at all. Needs some updating there.
Most of our trip was based in Mudgee so probably would not stay this far out again.
I think it would be more suited to families with children who want to play. Not convenient for Mudgee winery based holidays.
