Overall we were happy with our stay at Cove Cottage, we enjoyed the many activities the area offers and lots and lots of seafood. The cottage is located in a convenient location across the street from a beach on Hulls Cove.
Entrance to Acadia is close by. Cove Cottage offers alot and it's great to have a washer and dryer available. Another great stay.
This is a lovely little gem of a property just outside of Bar Harbor in the Hulls Cove area. Place is immaculate - and it was the perfect base to explore Acadia National Park and the entire Mt Desert Island area.
This is the perfect Gem of a location. Right next to the park, with an ocean view (complete with fire table), walkable to some restaurants, and a 5 minute drive to downtown bar harbor. House is very clean and the beds are comfy.
We had a lovely time in our own special house in Bar Harbor. Everything you could ask for in a Vac Rental.
It was perfect for the two of us and our Golden Retriever loved the spacious yard.
Close to everything wife jogged a short 3/10 of a mile and headed out for her daily runs on Acadia's trail.
Hope we can get back again soon!
Very much enjoyed our stay at the house. It's a very lovely house; very well kept. The interior is decorated better than my own house. It’s conveniently located to several restaurants and is as close to town as I’d like to get. But mostly I enjoyed watching the sunrise from the living room window; I miss that already. Looking forward to going back.
This little ranch cottage we stayed at couldn’t of been cleaner, and was the perfect location for our Arcadia National Park experience. The weather, food and everything was great. Just a few aches and pains from hiking the mountains. But so worth it. Just for the experience.
Cozy cottage with a nice view and all the ameneties that we needed for the week that we stayed there. We had two dogs and the owner was very pet friendly.
The owner's sister lives next door and she is engaged in the rental process so if there are any issues (we had none) there is a level of comfort that they would be addressed promptly.
Good laundry facilities, decent TV, dishwasher, etc. There are two viable restaurants VERY close by and it's a very conveniant 2 mile drive to Bar Harbor.
The cottage was perfect for a family of 3 plus a dog. It was half a mile from Hulls Cove entrance to Acadia Park and 4 miles from Bar Harbor. It had everything we needed: comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, fast internet ( son had to work remotely and was happy with internet speed), TV for rainy days, although we had fantastic weather and did not have to rely on all the satellite channels provided. The house was very clean which is of utmost importance and had cleaning supplies to maintain it spotless. Acadia is a magical place and now we have a perfect place to stay. We will be back.

Convienent to Bar Harbor
The cottage is quite nice and in our case perfect for just the 2 of us. We did not have pets with us this time but they are permitted at this rental.
The good - spacious, cozy house with just about all amenities you would need, while being only 10 minutes from center of Bar Harbor and a little more to Acadia.
The bad - there is now a second restaurant next door. There are 2 parking lots that face the property, and at any given time you may have cars sittings with headlights pointed on you while trying to enjoy the fire pit.
The noise from patrons of Bar Harbor Lobster Bakes can be annoying - as well as the trash or delivery trucks that were showing up between 2-4am almost daily and will wake you up.
The house is situated on the corner of 2 busy roads, so traffic can be intense, as well as confused tourists turning around in your driveway.
We also had an odd encounter with the neighbor mowing the lawn of the property while we were there - she rode past the main living room window twice, barely 3 feet from us, which we just found bizarre to do while the rental is occupied.
Overall if you want peace and quiet you will need to look on backroads or further from town - but it's tough to beat for convenience and proximity to Bar Harbor itself, especially being pet friendly.
First, the cottage is very cute and in a pretty location across from the water and great sunrises. Close to a nice general store, wine/cheese shop and a great restaurant. The garden and flowers in the cottage yard and flower boxes are beautiful.
However, the office area/mudroom smelled like a litter box was kept in the room and not emptied for some time. Febreze helped, but overall, the house needs a good air out and maybe carpets cleaned.
Bathroom door had loose hinges which was causing the door to stick and not close properly. I had to tighten up the screws in the hinges as well as the door handle that came off in my hand due to the set screw not being tightened.
A note was on the fridge that the toilet handle had to be jiggled to at each flush to keep the toilet from running, and the handle felt it could break at any time, which should have been fixed before we arrived.
Listing stated the rental had AC but there was only one AC unit in the living room which did not cool down the bedrooms. Luckily it was cool enough most nights that we were able to open the windows.
Listing stated that it had a hot tub which it did not.
These are by no means reasons not to book here, they just are just housekeeping issues that need to be addressed. Still a great little Maine vacation place. Would stay here again.
Cove Cottage is a spotless and comfy place to stay while exploring all that Bar Harbor has to offer. It provided everything we needed and more for our five night stay. We loved the place!
The entrance to Arcadia is just 1/4 mi down the road and a great place to eat is right across the street.
Wonderful stay! Lots to do. We spent most of our time in Acadia National Park hiking and admiring the glorious scenery. Definitely God’s country!

Great location
House was in an amazing location! We loved walking over to The Chart room in the evenings for dinner. The beds and pillows were so comfy! We had a mix up while trying to check in and her neighbor was kind enough to reach out and let us in.
It was our second stay at this cottage. It’s small but has all the necessary amenities. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, TV, WiFi, small area outside overlooking the bay with beautiful sunrises if wiling to get up by 6:00am. Very close to Hulls Cove Acadia National Park, walking distance. Couple of miles away from Bar Harbor. It was perfect for a family of 3 with a dog. Will be returning again.
Second time we stayed at this location and its proximity to Acadia and the town of Bar Harbor allows for relaxation as well as shopping and hiking as needed. The view from the lawn seating of the bay is ideal.
This is a snug cozy cottage with a view of the water across the road. I liked being out of the crowded downtown area. The cottage was well equipped and immaculate. I especially liked the quality of the sheets and towels that were provided.
The ho use is close to the park and close to Bar Harbor. It is also right across the street from the cove, making for some beautiful sunrises. Three restaurants, pizza, ice cream, wine and cheese, general store, book store, gas station right there. Most importantly, the house was immaculate, and had everything you need. If we go back to Acadia, I hope we'll be able to stay here again. Thanks, Hazel!
