We enjoyed our stay at this apartment in Bar Harbor, Maine. A few items to note since the listing isn’t very comprehensive.
Pros: Location, close to Bar Harbor and walking distance to the shore path, restaurants and shops. Also close to multiple entrances to Acadia National Park. Full size kitchen, two bedrooms (queen beds) and full bath. Pet friendly with plenty of green space and places to enjoy a walk.
Coco Latte is a couple blocks down and has online ordering, which is perfect for grab and go in the morning.
Cons: No parking. Yes, there is street parking, but it is $2 per hour and depending on the times you come and go, it won’t always be close to the apartment. The slate pad in the front of the apartment is not a private parking area. Something we wish we had known. Download the park mobile app so you don’t have to run down to pay for parking in the morning when you wake up.
The AC units are only in the bedrooms, which was fine with cooler weather, but could be an issue in warmer weather. They are also not installed correctly. Meaning in one of the bedrooms someone could just push in the AC and enter the bedroom from the fire escape stairs. The bedrooms also do not have black out curtains. The curtains in the left side bedroom are better than the right side bedroom. In the summer, the sun rises before 6am.
The table only seats two people, so if you family is larger, someone has to sit on the couch to eat.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay.
