Acadia Seaside Cottage, Family & Pet Friendly, 400 ft from shore. Has AC WiFi

The cottage has AC. Acadia seaside cottage, 400 ft. from the rocky shore line, not ocean front. It is 400 ft. from the shoreline. You see the water coming down the road then you turn in my driveway. If you are young and capable you can launch a kayak or canoe from the shore. It is a downhill and a little steep but people do it everyday. Not recommended for the older crowd. If when you are on the shore and into walking the shoreline there are what they call The Ovens. Go left when you get to the shore and walk for about maybe 15 minutes and they are little caves in the ledge that goes straight up. But be careful. You need to know what the Tide is doing. Is it coming in or going out. Sleeps up to 5 Check in time is 3:30 or after and check out time is 10:00 FIRM please. No more than 4 people .

A non refundable pet fee
$150 for up to 2 dogs, $50 for a third dog. 3 dogs maximum.. 12x30 ft deck enclosed half way up to secure small pets.
ABOUT LOCATION
Located in a nice, quiet, wooded neighborhood, but yet close to everything. 4 miles from Bar Harbor, 1 1/2 miles from Acadia National Park. The cottage is very warm and cozy. There is a 12x30 ft deck enclosed with a wire fence around it for pets and is great for star gazing in the evening and having morning coffee and breakfast or lunch in the sun. Take a stroll on the shore to look for seashells or sea glass. Watch the fishing boats go by, see the sun rise. Free transportation with Island Explorer all around the Island. There is a nice big fire pit for those of you that like to have a fire in the evening. Very relaxing.

Keywords: The cottage is in a nice wooded area. The shore is only 400 ft from the cottage and Acadia National Pk. is 1 1/2 miles to the entrance. If you like to take walks, you are in the right spot.

Had a wonderful stay
The cottage was very well stocked, in a quiet neighborhood, and close to Bar Harbor. We enjoyed taking the dog for evening walks down to the water and we enjoyed seeing a loon every now and then.

Great place, great location
This was so much better than a hotel/motel. Very cozy with all the basic needs and more. Great location between Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor. Was great to be able to relax.

perfect quiet place to stay
We truly enjoyed staying at Karen's cottage. It has all the amenities one could ask for, and has the feeling of being far away in the woods. It was very clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Very close to all the attractions of Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed Karen's cottage. It was beautifully quiet, but only a short drive to Acadia National Park and good restaurants. Comfortable furnishings, a good mattress, well stocked kitchen and dog-friendly. The owner was nearby if we had any questions. We would happily rent again.

Karen's cottage is well stocked, clean and neat. We and our dogs always enjoy our stay and really never want to leave! The ample supply of kitchen dishes, pots, pans, and other accessories make eating in just like at home :-)

Quaint cottage in perfect location
Karen’s Cottage was great for 4 people. It was comfy and cozy and it’s convenient access to Bar Harbor and the park loop made our first visit to Acadia and Schoodic easy and enjoyable! The walks down to the beach were fun as well as the caves. Karen’s added touches of having extras like condiments, paper products, laundry detergent etc were nice as well.

Perfect Rental for an adult family
The home was perfect for myself, husband and adult son. This home has a large kitchen and the most well stocked rental I have ever stayed at. The living room had plenty of comfortable furniture for all of us to relax on. Beds were comfortable and the entire rental was clean. Super close to the national park, less than 10 minutes. We had a wonderful stay and would stay here again if we travel back to Bar Harbor Maine.

Perfect fairytale cottage in the woods
Even though you are a short drive from Bar Harbor this house and neighborhood are peaceful, close to the shore and beautiful. This is our second time staying. I love this home! Karen creates a warm, comfortable and whimsical home that has absolutely everything you could need. I already miss being there.

Clean cottage with unique collections
We stayed here to be close to Acadia. It's clean. Karen was attentive and kind. The decor includes her collections throughout the house. The flower plates and serving dishes were cheerful. Everything you need is there.

Hiking Days and Lobster nights
Amazing sunset at Cadillac Mountain started the week! We hiked several trails and relaxed at the cottage that was super clean and well stocked with everything you need and extras. I was so happy to find the tools to crack open and eat lobster. The campfire spot was a charm! Check out the ocean that’s a short walk. Gem of a place!

Karen's Cottage
The cottage was clean, comfortable, private and peaceful. The kitchen was large and well equipped. The location was ideal with close access to the park and the village of Bar Harbor. Our dog loved it too. This was our third year in a row coming to Acadia and it was our favorite stay yet. Thank you Karen.

Karens Cottage
Thankyou Karen for a very nice cottage for our family to stay in on our vacation. The cottage is very comfortable, and also very clean. Everything was as you stated in your description. The cottage is in a quiet area outside of Bar harbor and close to the entrance of Acadia National Park.

Easy check in process. Home was well stocked and very clean. Karen stopped by to make sure everything was ok for us. Easy access to both Bar Harbor, Acadia, and the Trenton area. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook and prepare meals. We were able to use the fire pit on 2 evenings which was a nice way to relax. We would rent this property again upon return to the area.
