My wife and I booked this because it was so close to Grandfather Mountain and I had heard great things about the area. Ric communicated well and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Very welcoming and cozy living area with everything you could need for a family getaway. Would definitely book again.

Nothing negative to say about the place. They even provided Charmin toilet paper. Very well decorated and everything we needed for a great vacation was included. Ric did a great job with communication and provided a lot of great suggestions to make our trip memorable.

This place is great!! The host is incredibly considerate, helpful and available! The condo itself was so nice and was just as listed. The pool and hot tub at the rec center were a bit outdated, but the kids had fun. Right down the road from the slopes. Thanks for a lovely time!

Thanksgiving weekend family trip
Thoroughly enjoyed staying in this house, the cleanliness and attention to detail made the stay very comfortable. The recreation area within walking distance was perfect for a rainy day. The host gave excellent recommendations, and the area was a perfect mix of outdoor activities and things to do without being overly touristy. We will definately be coming back!

Excellent weekend
My family came up for the Woolly Worm festival. We only were able to stay for two nights but my kids have already asked to book this condo again. The condo was super cute and clean on the inside. My kids loved the bunk room and we were impressed with the small details like a pull down desk (my oldest actually had homework) and sound machine. There was plenty of room for our family of five and next time we will bring grandparents too! Ric was very personable, fast to communicate and gave us excellent food and hiking advice. We loved his recommendations of the Lower Pond Creek Trail, Brick Oven Pizzaria with mini golf and breakfast at Fred’s. Really a great stay if you want to see Beech Mountain, Banner Elk, Linville or Grandfather Mountain. We definitely hope to stay here again for a longer trip.

Excellent property! Close to everything on Beech- Perry Park and several trails and pond are less than a mile away. Great communication from the owner. Key code was programmed with our phone number. Super comfy beds, good showerheads, did 3 loads of laundry. Really appreciated the extras- plenty of towels, enough coffee pods for entire stay, liquid soap in all bathrooms and kitchen sink. Enjoyed playing ping pong in the gameroom multiple times and used the fire pit. The only thing I overlooked was that there is no master bath but that was ok. Nice fireplace and it was a great place to relax after fun filled days. Highly recommend and can’t wait to get back!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would
This was our second time going to Beech mountain and staying at Cedar Village, but the first time staying in this particular unit. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Before I booked the condo I had a question for the owner so I messaged him and I received a prompt reply. After I booked the unit he messaged me asking the ages of my girls so he could accommodate them. When we arrived there were games there for them to play with. He also recommended some activities he thought the girls would enjoy and let me know if I had any questions about the area to let him know. Everything had been updated and looked just like the pics provided. The beds and couch were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. The owner had also let us know that he would leave firewood for us to use for the fire pit so every evening we used the fire pit to make s’mores and the girls played on the swings right across from our unit. We also loved the pool, hot tub, and game room( which we knew used quarters, so we came prepared). There was never anyone else at the pool so it was nice to have it all to ourselves. We had a great vacation and are already planning on coming back and staying next summer. Do not hesitate to book this condo for your vacation! The condo is excellent and nicely renovated and the customer service was top notch!

We came to town to visit Emerald Hollow Mine and Emerald Village which are about an hour away. This was a good central location between the two. We found an old sock under the couch and a food wrapper in one of the drawers which is why I gave less stars in that category. Everything else was extremely clean. The pool was closed which I knew immediately after booking. The owner contacted me to let me know that it was still closed but I had already booked it so I didn’t want to mess with refunds. Had the listing mentioned the pool being closed in APRIL we would have stayed elsewhere. I noticed the listing was updated and the property owner offered to refund one night if we wanted to check out early. That was a nice gesture! We opted to stay and made the most of it! The playground is literally on a rocky hill but still functional. The fire pit is also on a rocky hill (after all, this is a mountain!) I tend to trip over my own feet so I’m surprised I didn’t fall down the hill LOL Lots of “extras” like coffee, bath stuff, seasonings, plenty of cookware. Ric even purchased a pack and play and child tableware since I mentioned we had a toddler. Overall, checkin was a breeze and Ric was super easy to work with. Would definitely recommend and stay again! Thanks for everything Ric!
