Gone Ski'Inn - Pet Friendly! Minutes to ski slopes, golf course, tennis, shopping, and more!

Welcome to Gone Skii'Inn! This cozy cottage is minutes from Sugar Mountain and from the quaint restaurants and shops of Banner Elk. The driveway is newly paved, making it easier to access year round.

The open floor plan makes Gone Ski'Inn a perfect place to enjoy time together with family and friends.
The main floor opens to kitchen, dining room, and cozy living room with a gas fireplace. The kitchen is fully stocked to prepare your favorite meal or use the gas grill if you prefer. The kitchen has a Keurig and drip coffee maker. Pack your favorite coffee and start your day watching the sunrise over the mountain top. Enjoy the view from the large windows in the family room or from the wrap around porch.
The primary bedroom is located on the main floor with a king-sized bed and TV. The newly remodeled main floor bathroom has a double vanity sink and glass walk-in shower with modern subway tiles. Full washer and dryer are located on the main level.

Upstairs there are 2 additional bedrooms and a full tub/shower bathroom. One bedroom has a king bed with tv and the other is a bunk room with 2 sets of XL twin beds, each with a pull-out twin trundle bed below; it's a perfect spot for the kiddos to unwind from the busy day.

Enjoy a glass of wine or a mug of hot chocolate under the stars at the fire pit. You feel like you are up in the treetops on this quiet, secluded property.

Boone, Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain are a short drive from the cabin.

Great house- be careful with the driveway
We really loved the house. Cozy, private, and very clean. Super friendly management company. The only caveat is the driveway. We had two close calls with our cars sliding down it when it snowed. It is steep and has a steep drop on the side. Needs better guidance for renters on how to manage, and perhaps even provide some sand and salt if plowing services aren’t available.

Perfect Weekend Getaway
We had 6 adults and plenty of room. The house is clean and trendy. It snowed and we had no issues with the driveway in an AWD. All of the main roads were salted and plowed. Had a blast at sugar mountain, which was so close. I highly recommend The Banner Elk cafe. Would definitely stay here again.

Super nice house
This house is very nice in so many ways! Location, cleanliness and convenience makes this a perfect place to stay. The only thing was the driveway entrance at the street. We have a dodge Durango and we scrubbed almost every time going in and out. If you read other reviews this is pretty much the only issue to this house. It was awesome having the fireplace going and seeing snowflakes fall.

Happy
We were in a great location which was convenient to almost all of the attractions in the area. Wooly worm festival was fun. Trip to grandfather mountain was breathtaking! Colors of the leaves were beautiful. My only concern was that we can into the property after dark and there were no lights on in the house which made it difficult to determine where it was on top of the hill.

Nice, clean, spacious property on the mountain
This house was very comfortable and clean. It is important to know that this property is up on a mountain. It is about a mile or so up and you will be traveling on a narrow road with one lane each way. It would not be safe to drive this without 4 wheel drive. I would not drive this if their was snow or ice on the ground. During our stay we had good weather, but for safety reasons we chose not to drive up or down to the property at night. The driveway is steep but doable. The feel of the property once their is very cozy. We did have trouble finding the home on standard google map gps. I tried to call and never received a phone call back. They did however have detailed instructions on how to get to the property on the check in email. It has an off the grid feel. Overall it is a great place to stay!

Immaculate Cabin on Sugar Mountain
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was honestly the cleanest vacation rental we have ever stayed in. The cabin presented itself as lovely and spacious as the pictures online show. The property itself is nestled on the side of the mountain and provides picturesque views of the Appalachian range. I would recommend it to any one traveling to the area that desires a small slice of NC Sugar Mountain Heaven.

Encantador!

Cute mountain house
Adorable little mountain house that is very close to the slopes. Nicely designed, but not fancy. Really comfortable beds. Excellent Wi-Fi. I would definitely stay there again. It would be even better if they added a hot tub. Make sure you have four-wheel-drive because the driveway is extremely steep. Well appointed with some wonky aspects to the kitchen and laundry. For example, the dryer door does not open all the way because the folding doors in the way. The dishwasher is in the corner where all the cupboards are so that you can actually take the dishes out of the dishwasher and put them away easily and less you are 6 foot tall.

Wonderful stay
Loved the property and will definitely return. Take note that the driveway is steep. My only suggestion is to fix the bottom of the driveway. No matter how hard we tried, we scuffed the bottom every time! However, we enjoyed the property so much, especially the outdoor fireplace, we will just drive the truck next time! The property owners were very detailed, kind, and great to work with.

Great Mountain Getaway not just for Gone Ski'In
Beautiful cabin, super clean, very comfortable, great family get away, awesome firepit area, awesome location to many town, hikes, family activities, winery and brewery. The drive way is steep so be prepared. We would definitely go back.
