This lovely home is so close to the ski slopes that chairlifts pass over it. Your ski trip getaway is within walking distance! The hardwood floors and stone fireplace will welcome you home after a day on the fresh powder, and the full kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal for the family. Step out onto the wraparound deck to enjoy the beautiful scenery that surrounds you, or view it through the expansive windows that fill the home with natural light.

Sugar Mountain Resort is right there, where you can enjoy skiing and skating in the winter, and golfing in the summer. When the weather is warm you can challenge the rapids via High Mountain Expeditions just 1.5 miles away, or zip line through the scenic mountain views at Hawksnest Ziplining. For more sights to see it's only a few minutes' drive to check out the Mile High Swinging Bridge and the Foggy Mountain Gem Mine.

Amazing Ski Vacation!
It was great to walk across the road and start skiing. Love that we able to bring our pet. The home was cozy and had everything we needed. We will be back again.

Nice vacation

Nice place for snowboarding
I booked this rental to go snowboarding at Sugar Mountain with my girlfriend. The unit is very spacious, the living room is nice and the bedrooms were good. The kitchen was sufficient to cook what we needed for a couple days and we both enjoyed our stay, Would definitely stay here again. The walk from the slopes back to the rental is not far but it can be a bit tough in boots depending on how good shape you are in. It was very cold and snowing while we were there and I did wish we had brought a heater because it was a bit cold even with the heat up, but the tub and jacuzzi was a nice way to relax after a day on the slopes. If you are expecting a luxury cabin you will be disappointed, but if you are looking for a comfortable and cozy place to stay in the mountains this place could suit your needs

Rotten steps
We were not told by vacasa or owner that steps leading into cabin were rotten ..we found that out when my daughter stepped on step, it broke and she fell..had to take her to ER...and now crickets from vacasa

Nice place & location but not as clean
The location was absolutely amazing. If you are renting in the summer when it’s warm, there is no A/C and only a ceiling fan in the living room and one box fan. It doesn’t specifically say no A/C in the listing. Also, you don’t get the entire house. Only the bottom half as the upstairs is rented out as well. That is not disclosed in the listing as well. There were condom wrappers in the bunk bed slats that my son found. Not sure if we’ll stay here again.

Overall the house was clean. There were some areas that had cob webs. Dishwasher didn’t work. Bunk beds did not have sheets on beds. The blankets that were to be used for the bunk beds were on the floor in the closet. They weren’t folded but rather rolled up and on the floor. I wasn’t impressed with that. Made us feel as though they weren’t clean. Overall the house and property was just as advertised. We had a great time staying here and would choose this place again.

Eh.... Just Ok
I'll start by saying i am trying to leave my experience with Vacasa out of this review as that has been a very painful experience that i'll avoid next time around. A broken house lock, no local property manager onsite, and an uncleaned home upon arrival caused us to wait outside for 3 hours and spend our 1st hour cleaning the home ourselves. Customer experience aside, the only thing this home has going for it is the location on the slopes. Other than that, things were just dirty from inside to out. The heating system is finicky so expect hot/cold spots throughout the space. Also do not expect small touches like soap/coffee/filters/etc. This is a no-frills cabin with a good location, but rather expensive for the details & cleanliness that it lacks.

The bedroom was supposed to have 2 separate twin beds as pictured but instead it had bunkbeds which was a big problem. This property only left me with 2 clean towels and 2 clean wash cloths They did not resock the toilet paper so there was only enough for half A-day. Along with not resocking other amenities as claimed as in laundry pods. We had to go out and purchase toilet paper towels and wash clothes because when we reached out the night that we arrive and we spoke to someone in the customer service department they said it would be taken care of and nothing was ever brought to us so we had to go buy them ourselves. No one ever called back and no one ever texted or emailed. In addition to arrival of those problems there were 4 bugs crawling around that we had to kill an air mattress that looked like it had puke in it and the dishwasher was still full of dishes from the previous people. It looks like it was partially cleaned and then they just left without completing it. They did not put sheets on the top bunk at all. Overall the rental was nice it just did not have the amenities as simple as towels and washclothes in it and it was lacking in the cleaning department and the pictures were not as described for the one bedroom. The living room kitchen and main bedroom and bathrooms we're as pictured. When we left we are very respectful so we pulled all the linens and cleaned up and picked up. We left it cleaner then we found it. I do feel like I should be reimbursed for the towels and wash clothes and toilet paper that I had to buy since we fully expect them to be in our rental. I should also be reimbursed for cleaning expense since it wasn't really clean when I got there and it was cleaner when we left. We also had to buy trash bags. I do expect to be hearing from you shortly.

Perfect weekend getaway

Wonderful Stay!
