Decent place but I won't be back
The place was ok. It was older but clean. The parking is terrible. There are more units than parking spots and the alternative parking lots are all closed and a half mile walk up hill from the unit. Also the air conditioner didn't work the entire time of our stay. Vacasa sent someone out to check on the unit but all he did was turn the breaker off and call an HVAC company. They did bring us 4 fans for the bedrooms but it was still miserable during the day. I understand things happen but someone should have noticed the AC not cooling before 8 people show up in June.

Great spot for the slopes
Before we got there, it was hard to tell if we would be able to walk with skis on our shoulders over to the slopes. We did end up driving over, but it was a very short drive. We had a great time and were amazed by how spacious the Condo was. Everything was great.

Convent and Nice.
We loved this location. It was easy to walk to sugar especially since we would drop a car with our gear off in the morning and walk back. The condo was also very nice inside.

Good cabin but poor cleaning service
The cabin is super good and in a good location. The entertainment nearby is very good, tubing, skiing and the roller coaster. My only disappointment was with vacasa, they never cleaned the cabin and at 8 at night they only told me to wash the bedding so I could sleep and even the towels. They never asked if I needed anything again and my stay was one week. While on vacation I had to clean and wash a lot.

Great location!
We loved it here! There were 7 adults on our trip and we had plenty of room. Very clean, well stocked kitchen. We chose to drive to the slopes, mainly because of equipment. (We rented from Highland House ski rental that was about 5 min away. They were significantly cheaper than the resort) Short walk from the condo to the slopes on the main road. Parking is a little tight for larger vehicles, but it was not too bad for us because it was not that busy. We definitely recommend staying here!

Presidents Day Weekend
Loved the location of this condo! It worked great for our two family group each with two kids. We could walk to the slopes and come home for lunch. The condo could use some updating and better kitchen utensils. It looks a little tired. One parking spot was provided which made it a challenge for our two families but we figured it out. There should definitely be two spots. Like I said the place was a little tired and could use a refresh but the location was key. Probably won’t go back to sugar though cause of their 1980s style of running a ski slope. Can’t buy anything ahead of time and had to wait for hours for ski school or lift tickets or equipment. Come into the 2000s Sugar Mountain!

Great location
Very roomy accommodation and perfect for all 8 adults. Great location to area attractions. Easy car ride to Linville Falls , Blowing Rock , Boone and trails on the Blue Ridge Pkwy. Our only suggestion to improve condo is the upstairs bedroom has a large opening which looks down on the living room and therefore it is noisy for the people sleeping in that room. A solution would be to add a closure like a bifold door over the opening. Otherwise we had an excellent stay.

Great Place but needs some TLC
Me and my friends had a great time at Sugar Mountain! The weather was awesome and the location allowed us to quickly find an amazing hiking place or spot to grab dinner! There were a number of things we were disappointed in: 1) One of the bedrooms still had dirty sheets on the bed and it was clear someone had slept in the sheets. It was on one of the king beds and we had all gone to bed for the night when my friend realized the bed had been slept in. She ended up taking the twin sheets off one of the other beds and sleeping "on top" of those sheets until she could wash the king sheets the next morning. The next morning, after she washed the sheets and put them back on the bed, we found a bag with clean sheets in them. Our guess is someone got distracted and forgot to put clean sheets on the bed. 2) Parking is very tight and there are no markers for parking spots. We had two cars and the first night we were worried that we were not parked correctly. I sent a message through the app (I still haven't heard back from anyone via the app) and I tried calling. There was an automative voice that said they were experience higher than normal call volumes and the wait would be awhile (oh...it was 9pm at night). I waited for 10 minutes and finally gave up. Thankfully we didn't have any issue with parking or anything else for that matter...we probably would have never been able to reach anyone. 3) They left us a roll of paper towels that had about 10 sheets left on the roll. We went out searching for paper towels and could not find ANY in 2 grocery stores (which are the only 2 grocery stores closest to the condo). The day before we left, we found another half a roll that got us through but it was frustrating. 4) There is a creek that runs along the backside of the unit and with the summer foliage, it is picturesque. Unfortunately the balcony is in desperate need of a power-washing and seemed a bit unsturdy. 5) We were excited to see in the listing that it had a Roku. When we arrived, it had a DVD player and cable. We found the remote for the Roku but no Roku. Probably just need to remove that from the listing. 6) The floors need a little more attention. When you were on the carpet, there were multiple times you could feel things get stuck to your foot...upon further expectation it was typically rocks or dried food. Other than that, it was great! Not sure I would rent again from this company but I would definitely stay at Sugar Mountain again!

Below expectations
Great location for skiing at sugar mountain and the size and sleeping is as described, but we had many issues. Door was almost impossible to open, has to be pulled to be unlocked but nobody told us that. Definitely was not fully cleaned. Dusty, sticky floor and table, dishwasher was running so we had to unload it. Every TV and cable box was u plugged, spent over an hour moving furniture to get to the plugs to turn on the TV, one we could not fix and had to call the manager to come repair. No trash bags at all in the place, had to call but nobody came until the next day. Not a great experience, left a day early.

Loved it!!!
The property was beautiful. King bed was downstairs with bathroom . 2 bedrooms downstairs one with double beds, 2 bedrooms upstairs queen and one with double beds, both upstairs with bathrooms. Carrying luggage up spiral stairs would be challenging, suggest younger kids, younger adults stay upstairs due to the climb. Enjoyed wooly worm festival and vale county fair. Condo at low end of mountain was nice as i dont like heights. Could hear Brooke from deck, saw deer in woods out front. Quiet relaxing stay. Nice big tv in living room. Couch and beds were very comfy. Books for reading by tv with DVD.
