THE LAYOUT
The main level has an open floor plan, which includes a comfortable, plush living room with a large-screen smart TV. There is ample table seating for dining, playing the many board games, or doing jigsaw puzzles. The kitchen is very well-stocked for making your favorite family meals. The sliding glass doors in the living room offer a picturesque view of the mountains and golf course, and open onto a private balcony where you can enjoy an outdoor meal, glass of wine, or cup off coffee, while taking in the beautiful scenery year round.
The top floor has 2 spacious suites, offering a quiet retreat for privacy and relaxation. The front suite offers 2 large twin beds, a cozy rocking chair, and a smart TV. The rear suite with a breathtaking view, has a king bed, a well-supplied desk with a comfortable office chair, and a smart TV with HDMI cords to provide the ultimate workspace, if needed.
The bottom floor also has 2 suites, offering peace and tranquility. The front suite has a king bed and smart TV. The rear suite offers a king bed and a sturdy twin-over-twin log bunk bed. This suite overlooks the golf course and leads out onto the lower deck, which is well-provisioned with outdoor lawn games for your use, such as corn hole, ladder ball, bocce ball and croquet, etc....There is also a laundry room with complimentary full-sized washer and dryer on the bottom floor.
THE LOCATION
The townhome sits at 4100 feet elevation, right across the street from the Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, and is located on the first tee and putting green of the Sugar Mountain Golf Course. This public course is rated the #2 Executive course in the US! You will also be a very short walk to tennis courts, the Pro Shop with its Caddy Shack Cafe', hiking and mountain-biking. The Caddy Shack Cafe' offers "Grillin' and Chillin'" on Wednesday evenings during summer months, with outdoor live music (so close, you can hear it from your balcony) and dancing, too. In the winter months, you are steps from skiing, ice skating and snow tubing, which you can watch from your balcony, as well.
There are several entertaining festivals you can walk to at the Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, such as Fine Arts & Crafts Shows, Oktoberfest, 4th of July Summit Crawl with evening Fireworks, and Sugar Fest. In nearby Banner Elk, there is the popular Woolly Worm Festival, and Grandfather Mountain boasts one of the most famous Scottish Highlands Games in the US. And, over on Beech Mountain, there is the Autumn at Oz Festival.
If you would like to venture away from Sugar Mountain and explore the surrounding areas, the quaint towns of Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis, Boone and others are very welcoming, with their plethora of restaurants, shops, antique stores and more. Grandfather Mountain's Mile High Swinging Bridge and Animal Rehabilitation Center, Linville Caverns and Linville Water Falls are popular scenic destinations, and once there, you can also enjoy some spectacular hiking trails. There are several wineries in the area that offer wine tastings, live music and beautiful scenery; Grandfather Mountain Winery, Linville Falls Winery and Banner Elk Winery are local favorites. And, for the beer lovers in your group, there are also several breweries within a 10 to 30 minute drive. There's so much to do and enjoy around this townhome in Sugar Mountain, NC!

During winter months, you will need a 4WD/AWD vehicle and/or tire chains.
The Association does not allow guests to bring pets.
The Association has a noise curfew between 10 pm and 8 am.
The unit has 2 designated parking spaces. Additional parking may be available along the brick wall across from the front door, as well as in the cul-de-sac behind the building by the unit's back door.
