Stayed here before and will probably come back again. Good location for food and drinks, Khao San Road only 5-10 minutes walk. Close to river and canals. Room is clean and functional with usual amenities. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Can't beat this hotel for the price in this area.

It’s a good, clean property close enough to many main attractions like grand palace. Wats and Rambutri and Khaosan. But things around the hotel itself aren’t very appealing.

Excellent stay at Tara Place! Very clean and many restaurant options within a 2 min walk or less (would specifically recommend Jeng Noodle). Also an 7/11 very close by. Also less than 10 min walk to khao San road so far from the noise but close enough to go as often as you want. Would absolutely stay here again

The staff at Tara Place were fantastic at giving us directions and arranging transportation for us. The location is very convenient for the restaurants and shops on Khao San Road. The family room was perfect for our family of 6.

A quiet place for central Bangkok. A 10 minute walk to the fabulous Khaosan road market. Central location. We walked to the national museum and were a close taxi ride to Wat Pho and Wat Arun. Staff was polite and courteous. Not many amenities but tons of shops and restaurants in the immediate area. The free tuk tuk service is limited but a nice bonus. Convenient location. The room was basic but fine, especially for the price, about $35 usd per night. Lots of Eurpean visitors in the area.

Tara Place was very clean with no pests in sight and the rooms get bottled water every day. The hotel building is well maintained too. That’s what I liked about it. The mattresses were awful, though; it was very hard to sleep in them. So much so, that we had to shorten our stay in Bangkok. The property is located walking distance from Khao San Road, which is nice and picturesque. It’s a two-star hotel, so that’s exactly what you’ll get. Heads-up, bring cash with you (Thai Baht) because the deposit for the room is in cash. They don’t take your credit card.

Tara Place was a wonderful hotel to stay in for a few days in Bangkok. The entire hotel was clean, well-kept, and the staff was professional and courteous. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, from a/c to locking safe. There was a small window with a nice view (could see the top of Emerald Buddha Temple), and you could watch the sunrise from lovely shared balcony/terrace on the fourth floor. There are plenty of food options nearby the hotel, both restaurants and street food. Speaking of options nearby, Tara Place was easy to find and very centrally located for access to points of interest. We could walk to Khao San Road in minutes, and could have even walked to several temples with a bit of a longer trek. The hotel provides several free shuttle services daily, but we didn’t end up using them as we liked the walk. I have nothing but good things to say about this place!
