The room is private and quiet, the AC is cold, towels and bedding and some bottled water are provided. The bed is extra firm, the pillows are soft and fluffy, the WiFi was fast and stable, and the staff was happy to store my luggage in the lobby after checkout for half a day until my flight. I spent some time cooling off in the lobby writing postcards too.
Breakfast was corn flakes and toast and watermelon. Some of the plaster was chipped, and there is no shared kitchen or food allowed in rooms. Basically, this isn't quite a hotel, nor quite a hostel, but it's still really great and the location just off Kaohsan is awesome. You don't need food or a kitchen with the plethora of street food and restaurants available just out the door. Pick the places where the locals eat!
