"Le Soutenac is a generous and comfortable place to enjoy rural French life. The description of the house was very accurate and there were no hidden surprises! The kitchen is large and well-equipped, there are many places to sit, eat, drink or relax. The boulangerie was shut for the first half of our stay but Neuvic is an easy cycle away (I guess even Mme Boulanger needs a holiday!)"

"The property met all our expectations and more. Well equipped and our family of 11 people from aged 23 to 87 years all had a wonderful time. Pool is great. You will need transport when you stay here and anti mosquito spray is an absolute must! Highly recommend and would love to go back there some time"

"We did spend a wonderful time with family and friends as a party of five and also three dogs. As the location is quite remote, you can enjoy absolute privacy but on the other hand, all necessary supply is in close range - if you do not fear a 45 minute walk you can reach the weekly market of the next village even by foot hiking through a light forest. "This is a charming, up to date gite in an ideal location, 3 km from Eymet, a wonderful small village in Dordogne. It is hard to get a sense of just how peaceful the location is from the photos, but we greatly enjoyed our stay. Michael and Donna were great hosts. I only wish we could have stayed longer than the 6 nights we were there. "

"Karen’s Le Chouettes is a lovely rural property that was perfect for our family. We stayed in the cottage and we found it so well laid out with plenty of privacy for everyone but many common areas to enjoy each others company. We had a few days in April where the kids were able to enjoy the pool. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were of top quality. Plenty of thick towels were also provided.
