Villa with excellent view but poor facilities
The villa was extremely spacious and clean. You have to call for room service daily as it is not automatic but the cleanliness was excellent. The view was to die for. Even during 3 months of drought season and the fields were dry, the view was still splendid and the weather was very cooling. Having breakfast by the balcony (there's 2!!) was an unique experience. The pool was also kept clean and there was an excellent view from the pool too.
I would have given 5 stars rating if not for a few issues. Firstly, the pool was always very cold due to the weather and the villa did not seem to have some sort of smaller jacuzzi cordoned off with heater. So it was a struggle to get into the water and I didn't spend much time in the pool which I considered a huge waste as similar villas without pools cost at least $100 cheaper per night's stay. Secondly, some of the amenities in the villa such as the kitchen tap were shaky and almost coming out and the TV in all the rooms except the main hall had no antennas so the reception was extremely bad. Even in the main hall, the cable mainly contained Indonesian or Arabic channels. I only counted 3 English channels!! Thirdly, although the villa was cleaned, the staff could not bother to refill the water cooler with a new water barrel and I had to struggle to lift the heavy water barrel on my own. Lastly, the main manager in charge of the management of the villas barely spoke English and it was very difficult to voice my concerns to him.
