"Perfect location. 10 minute walk into town. It’s an older property with nice views of the water. Breakfast was nice with croissants and coffee or tea. The host Peter is very welcoming and is knowledgeable on things to do in the area. Rooms are a bit cold but it is October and the weather was cold windy and rainy while we were there. I would recommend a stay."

"First class hotel. It was the best stay of our 2 week trip. Beautiful, friendly, great location, great staff and so helpful. Breakfast was superb! Would highly recommend this for a little splurge ."

"Unique to the property was skeleton key to open and lock your room. Was great walkability to the whole town including pubs for dinner, fresh produce stores and pharmacy, not to mention a couple of different off licenses. Would recommend The Blue Haven for dinner - the seafood chowder was the best I've ever had. The bed was pretty firm though so we both woke up sore. "Truly contactless . Unexpected. Very lovely room. As I was coming from bus I was not expecting no taxis from the bus station. I was unfamiliar with the area so walked up to this hotel. Never saw an person and with some fumbling was able to gain entry to the small hotel Otherwise beautiful "

"I have stayed at both the cottage and main house before. Minor issue with wifi this time but that was quickly rectified. The unseasonably cold weather during the first few days of our stay made the cottage very chilly until heat was turned on but that's Irish weather. Once weather returned to seasonal norms, there was no further problem. Very comfortable for two people but would be a stretch for any more. Excellent value."

"A wonderful place with brilliant views, surrounded by ample countryside. Gwyneth was the best host one could ask for, very friendly and helpful throughout my stay and indeed for both settling in and heading out. The place was lovely to stay in, featuring every utility you could desire, and felt very welcoming and comfortable as almost a home away from home. My only wish is that I could have stayed longer! For any undecided, The Brown Hen is definitely worth a stay. "
