"The Galle Fort Hotel is a truly lovely boutique property set within the walls of Galle Fort. We stayed in the Grand Apartment room which was gorgeous with fabulous furnishings. The Bar and lounge areas are both lovely and the pool, loved the tiling, was a must to cool off. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was great, wasn't keen on their coffee bean but other than that faultless. All of the Staff are lovely however Shalimar stood out he was always there when needed, extremely helpful and a great character. "

"It is a nice peaceful resort. The staff especially in the resurant and pool side was so nice and friendly. The main drawback with this resort is it's not a good place during rainy season as it's on the bank of estuary. As the river water comes with force during rainy season the sea is muddy and cannot swim or play in the sea. The next thing is that the staff in the reception have no answer for anything you ask. If you ask what activities you have nearby they will tell you to Google. Tuk tuk is available if you walk to the main road, but they don't even help calling for one. So unless ypu have everything sorted it's better not to stay there as for all activities you have to go to either Mirissa or Weligama. If you are just coming to relax then it's a nice place. Food was not that great."

"We had such a pleasant stay at this property. It was so calm and serene. With a stunning view of the fort. There's a small safe area to swim in the ocean as the rest of the sea is quite dangerous. A nice warm pool that offers the same view and peaceful vibe. The dining option for us was a paid dinner that had authentic Sri Lankan food. It wasn't short of any flavour and they did not cut corners - this is coming from a Sri Lankan. The next time I come from Canada and need to visit Galle. I will stay here again without hesitation"

"Lovely hotel in quiet area of Galle just 10 mins from the beautiful old town. Our room was large and well equipped and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The pool was large and set in well kept gardens. Highly recommend! "

"I loved the location which was on the beach and it was a great view to see surfers surfing. Loved the food and the music wasn't too loud. I can't remember the name of the gentlemen staff but he spoke good English and was Sri Lankan who used to work in the middle east. He really really made us feel welcome and comfortable. Taking the extra trouble to make guests feel welcome. If you had the pleasure to meet him during your stay, he will surely look after you. The room was beautiful and spacious & great value for money."
